Single Inventory Capacity

Description
[VERIFIED TO WORK WITH 1.4 PATCH]

Tired of wasting time in the inventory shuffling looted items onto your horse, only to shuffle them back off it when you get to a merchant? Single Inventory Capacity removes this hassle by merging both inventories together!

Any carrying capacity that's unused by your horse will be transferred over to Henry; the horse keeping only what it needs plus a small buffer. This is recalculated every time you mount or inspect your horse, so make sure to do this after equipping horse tack to ensure the effects work properly. Works with every horse tested, and should also work with horses that have modded stats, but there may be a clash with mods that affect horse behaviour.

Notes:
  • This only works with horses you own, those you steal have no impact.
  • There is a known issue where your horse's capacity will not be displayed correctly when inspecting other horses; inspecting your own horse will however give the true value.
  • This works with the bad back "Hardcore" perk. In order to keep the intended challenge of that mode, all horses have had there capacity reduced to 67% from the vanilla 75%.
  • If you save with this mod active, its effects will persist (but not update) even after you have unsubscribed to it. Instructions on how to purge this are given in the read_me included with the mod (typically downloaded by steam to ...\Steam\steamapps\workshop\content\1771300\3561603822\)

With many thanks to the KCD Modding Community discord for their invaluable help.

Very COOL quality of life addition.

Works fine on old saves. Tested it on a post-game save from 1.0 and it worked fine. Just remember to mount / inspect your horse after taking stuff on or off it in order for everything to be recalculated properly.

Like this change. I wonder if it would mess with old saves where you have like 100 items on your horse.

Looks interesting.
