6 fixed gun Mk II, 5 plasma turret Mk III, and 4 lasers, gives you a good well rounded split between forward and omnidirectional DPS. Decent deflector coverage on the front and sides backed up by 2 shield generators and 4 crew quarters. Fits in 4 lateral thrusters for strafing ability and a bit more turn speed.

Peak energy draw outpaces output, but its really only a problem if you're both boosting and firing fixed guns at the same time for an extended period.

But if you still want a better energy economy, consider dropping 1 shield or some crew quarters and moving things around to make room for another reactor and/or batteries.
