Namaste everyone!
What you see is a very simple lua script mod that moves the OVN Golden Magus' start location from Lustrian Copper Landing to Indan Vrindavanis in Immortal Empires Expanded.

The reason why Golden Magus of Araby got relocated is mostly historical as if you take a look at how Islam spreaded through the world, you can see that it went eastward reaching India and Southeast Asia. With Ind and Khuresh being planned to release in the future, it gives a more interesting starting location as one of three Legendary Arabyan Lords won't have to fight Tomb Kings or Lizardmen that they already can encounter in the Southlands. Another point is that lorefuly Arabyans never reached further west than Ulthuan by not being allowed to go further (good luck getting through vengeful Estalians too)
But yeah Magus is a rich merchant so placing him near to the spice hub that is Ind could make some sense.

@斯基劳大公 I thought about it already, I consider the current location better because it not about Ind only but Khuresh as well. There was a significant arabic trade in Southeast Asia. For north-western part I guess there may could be something that could represent a different tribe of Ind by using an Arabyan faction, but thats more of an idea than anythting.

Still, there is not much of a place where they could be placed besides Haunted Forest, but its already occupied by a Vampire Counts Legendary Lord

Working fine on my end. Im only torn because I love to take the great maelstrom for the Tzeench units in my usual campaigns

rom the perspective of real-world geographical parallels, it would perhaps be more appropriate to move the Golden Magus from southern Ind to the northwestern deserts of Ind.Southern Ind would be more suitable as the birthplace for Indi-style native factions.

Are you sure you want to reinstall the game? Im pretty sure everything should work correctly and its more of a conflict issue.

Maybe try searching for the one that could cause it as well? Like trying to launch it with fewer mods? Would help alot with any future problems related to startpos mods

Hmmm I got the empire guy problem too now. I got that with a ton of mods, something's broken and it's probably not this. Gonna fully reinstall the game.

@Lemonz did this already which is the weird part, this fixed a nameless empire guy spawning in with spearmen from the empire. It didn't change the spawn position change however, weirdly enough.

Haunter unsubscribe and resubscribe to the Araby mod, it broke with 6.3 and they put out an update

Hey! I really love the idea of this mod, especially with the new Ind map, but I don't think it is working for me? Every time I've tried to start a new Golden Magus campaign, it still starts me out in the Copper Landing for some reason.

Is this due to the new update?

I can ask, but Im not sure if they would like to move him now as submod is made, perhaps we personally could design some things like win conditions once there will be enough of time and knowledge to do so, especially when Ind faction will be made.

I already plan to ask them about factions as from what I saw they just began thinking about including more minor factions on IEE to spread them more around the map. But maybe its too early to talk about that just yet, we will have to wait and see how it goes ;)
