HeroQuest Revived

Description
What started out as a redo of the 1990s Milton Bradley (now Hasbro) board game HeroQuest has morphed into a mod with, dare we say, a life of its own being inspired by HeroQuest, The Bard’s Tale, Monty Python and the Holy Grail and many other pieces of art. You control a party of would-be champions (Lvl 1 party recommended on Normal difficulty) that find themselves shipwrecked in the small kingdom of Skara Brae and enjoying nightly, shall we say, pastimes until they are pressed to service by their landlord Belenus. There is always some work to be done and soon they are called upon to aid the local merchants, villagers, royal advisors and who knows - maybe even the king and queen themselves. The mod boasts an entire bartering system of medieval style shoppes, unique spells, items, potions, weapons and armor as well as a wealth of NPCs and encounters that move the story along. Can you save the kingdom of Skara Brae? Can you face and thwart the threat of the Dread Magic? Can you clear Epona’s attic of mice and other vermin? All this and more in HeroQuest Revived.

Download Note: To get this Mod to perform properly:
1. Load mod page but don't subscribe just yet.
2. Start the Grimrock II game
3. Click Custom Dungeon
4. Subscribe to the mod
5. Go back into Grimrock II and the mod should be in the list under HQRedo
6. Select the mod and create a party.
7. Start the game and save it.
8. Then after you close the game and wish to play again, use the Load Game menu item but don't click Custom Dungeon as that would (for some unknown reason) remove the .dat file from your computer.
9. If you happen to click on “Custom Dungeon” again for some reason, simply unsubscribe and resubscribe with the Grimrock II game already started. Then you should be able to Load Game where you left off.

Alternatively do this:
1. Load mod page and subscribe.
2. Start the Grimrock II game but don't click Custom Dungeon
3. Open the folder that contains .dat files for custom dungeons (for both PC and Macintosh the folder is called Dungeons)
4. Locate the mod .dat file (with size around 70 MB)
5. Copy it to another folder, rename it and copy it back to the original folder.
6. Select Custom Dungeon, select HQ Redo and create a party.

We apologize for the inconvenience, but it is a glitch in the Steam system and we cannot control it.

@ChaosLord. My apologies, I will correct this. I am surprised that this is the first instance that this has come up. Thank you for pointing it out.

(continued) 3. The only solution at this point is to spawn a round key. Do you know how to use the console to spawn items?

@ ChaosLord. You seem to have missed some keys and areas to explore. After analyzing what you are saying, I think I know what happened and it is a game flaw on our part. 1. There is a chest at the bottom of the ramps to the "pool" where there is a round key which you used to open the door to the hallways that led to the sky bridge. 2. The problem is that there is another door that uses the round key which leads to the hallway with the books. It is before the door that you used the round key for. That means you have no way of getting to the second round key. When you open that door you get the books, you have to climb up to the top of the tower turning off the "Seven Deadly Sins" when you do that a door will open and you will "take the plunge" and you will wind up near another chest that contains another round key which was intended for the hallway that leads to the sky bridge.

Hey thanks, already did this, but from there its the same, cant get to the boss. Boss is dead and doors wont open. And i cant get to some books i see across the water where the gargoyl is.
Im already in the cemetry, so its more to collect them and knowing the right way.

Hi ChaosLord You have to find the password to cross the bridge containing the Skeleton Warriors. Here is how As you work your way around the skybridge there are two secret buttons that activate the skybridge you work your way down until you reach the end of the skybridge, but you have to turn around before jumping down and you will see a door that opened behind you. When you enter that door you will find a chest that contains a note with the password. Then go to the plate that activates the password, enter, defeat the skeleton warriors and work your way down into the cellars.

How does one get to the boss in the sewers without jumping off the sky bridge?

@smccartt, did you ever get a reply from Alex Diener?

@agamon. Here is the overall trick When you are teleported, usually, and I say usually because there is at least one where this is not true, after you kill whatever attacks you, turn around and go the opposite direction and you will be teleported again. When that happens, kill, turn around and so on. Refer to the map each time you are teleported to get your berings.

Hello, yes the first task is to make your way through a maze of teleports, problem for me.
