苏沃洛夫行动;Operation Suvorov [Mission]

Description
The Suvorov Operation(First Russo-Western War),also known as the“Second Judgment”by the Siberian Black Alliance, was a conflict in the western part of Russia,Ukraine, and the Caucasus region, between the Greater German Reich and its allies, and the West Russian Revolutionary Front(WRRF)and its allies and co-belligerents.
During World War II,Germany invaded the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics, leading to its complete collapse and the occupation of Russia up to the Ural Mountains and the A-A Line.In the years following the end of the war,in the power vacuum caused by the dissolution of the Soviet Union,a variety of Russian warlords rose to power.Under the leadership of Voroshilov, loyal Soviet generals established the West Russian Revolutionary Front(WRRF)to drive the German forces out of Russia. The United States of America and the Empire of Japan saw an opportunity to counter German ambitions, and would provide military aid and support to the WRRF.When the German economy collapsed, the WRRF seized the opportunity to launch a massive attack.
Western Russian Advance
The war began with a massive offensive by the WRRF,which completely took the German forces by surprise and easily forced the troops in the Moscow Commissariat District to retreat. As the Russian forces advanced westward, the German Wehrmacht was in disarray.Berlin, not wanting a total collapse of East Germany, hastily sent reinforcements to prevent this from happening. The war began to take a toll on the already struggling German economy, leading to further conflicts.Meanwhile,a major partisan uprising was launched by the Transcaucasian Soviets in the Caucasus Commissariat District.
Marshal Zhukov led the Suvorov Operation, advancing into southern Ukraine. At the same time,Marshal Tukhachevsky’s forces also achieved many victories, launching a major attack from the north into Moscow.Gorky,Penza,Arkhangelsk, and Plesetsk were soon occupied by the advancing Russian forces.
The front line capitalized on the momentum of these early victories, and as the newly liberated Russians from the former Moscow region joined the war against the Germans, their army grew in size.
German Reaction
The German High Command took desperate measures to delay the collapse of the front line. One of these measures was the establishment of the Russian Liberation Army, led by Andrey Vlasov.Desperately, the Germans even allowed the formation of the Russian Committee for the Liberation of the People(KONR),a prototype for a Free Russian Republic, which would govern the areas liberated by the German counteroffensive.
Himmler’s Coup
The internal struggle within the German Empire reached its climax when the SS rebelled against the German Wehrmacht in the east, with the aim of destroying the Wehrmacht to seize power in Germany. However, the coup failed when General Hans Speidel launched a preemptive attack on the SS,forcing them to disband.
Dissolution of Western Russia
Just as the WRRF forces were on the verge of reaching Moscow, the war began to take its toll on the WRRF forces as the German defensive lines began to solidify.Political differences led many Soviet generals and their troops to abandon the war effort, severely weakening the front line from within.Because of these setbacks,Speidel was able to unite the Wehrmacht to defeat the WRRF.Meanwhile, collaborationists like Vladimir III were pushed into communist territory, where they established their own state in Vyatka.
As the WRRF forces retreated in desperation,Nikolai Avilin gathered most of the remaining Russian armored forces near Gorky for a last stand, where he repelled the attacking Wehrmacht, allowing the remaining Russian forces to retreat safely.
Consequences
As a direct result of the SS coup,Adolf Hitler,in an attempt to appease Heinrich Himmler, allowed him to establish the Duchy of Burgundy in Belgium and eastern France. The West Russian Revolutionary Front collapsed, leaving only control over the northern outskirts of Arkhangelsk.New warlord factions emerged to fill the power vacuum caused by the collapse of the WRF in their former occupied territories.
Despite Germany’s victory in the war,it was a Pyrrhic one.The war further weakened the already fragile German economy and severely undermined the strength of the Moscow Commissariat District, which never managed to retake the A-A Line or many of the cities lost during the front line advance.
