No Backwards Running

Description
Running will be suppressed when moving opposite to facing direction as it was in the Giraffe beta versions.

This mod utilizes Lua hooks and replaces no files, thus should theoretically be compatible with just about any other mod.

Addendum
I am not offering any active assistance with issues encountered using my Starbound mods due to the often staggering number of mods run by its player base. If the mod does not work with your mod list then it is entirely on you to sort out the conflict. Use at your own risk.

It stops you from being able to run backward, period.

surprisingly fun ngl, makes the whole experience more immersive while also making me think how to handle situations with the backwards slowdown, also used it for my advantage at times to not overshoot jumps. still wonder why this feature got removed when it wasnt really unfun nor annoying. i found it pretty cool and it makes SB stand out more compared to terraria.

is it possible to swap the walking with run? (sprint with shift and walk without shift)

@CaitieẽChan It forces you to walk like you do at the start of the Protectorate intro mission or when holding the Shift key if moving in a direction you are not facing, that is all. The mod can be installed and uninstalled without any issue, so there is no harm in just trying it out and seeing if it is something that you feel enhances gameplay.

@Degostorm It affects backwards jumping too as that is how it worked in the Giraffe betas, which this mod is aiming to replicate. I did prototype a version that worked on the ground only, but I felt it just encouraged the player to continuously jump backward to kite similarly to vanilla, and thus would have made the whole mod pointless.

would b cool if the mod didn't affect backwards jumping, amazing mod regardless tho
