The world of Crusader Kings 3 is a tapestry of interwoven dynasties, but some threads shine brighter than others. The "Ancient Bloodlines" mod introduces the concept that the legacies of the greatest conquerors, thinkers, and leaders of antiquity were not entirely lost to time.

With this mod, the possibility that a forgotten power flows through your veins becomes a reality.

Legendary Bloodlines
Discover the lineages of legendary figures such as Julius Caesar, Qin Shi Huang, Justinian the Great, Hannibal Barca, Modu Chanyu, and many more.

Unique & Powerful Traits
Each bloodline offers a powerful and unique character trait, mostly balanced to reflect the most well-known abilities of your ancestor.

Legendary Units - The Ultimate Reward
Achieving the apex of your legendary bloodline is not just an honor—it is a key that unlocks the might of ages past. When a character is truly the Reincarnation of some historical legends (the 3rd and final tier of a bloodline), they gain the ability to recruit a unique and powerful Men-at-Arms regiment, a unit unavailable to any other ruler in the world.
Each unit is thematically designed to represent the strength and legend of its namesake. Command the greatest warriors of history and ensure your dynasty's military supremacy for generations to come!

Artifacts
Each artifact is a piece of history reborn, a unique and powerful tool that offers abilities reflecting the legendary figures who once possessed them. Seek them out, claim them for your dynasty, and let their power be the key to your eternal glory.
-Also requires you to have tier 3 trait-
-They are obtained by decisions at this point, will try to add some kind of system to get them later.-

Planned Features

New Events & Decisions: You will be facing in-game events and decisions to uncover your ancient heritage or investigate the secrets of ancients.

Dynastic Legacies

Forge a new path for your dynasty with the power of the ancients. Will you rule with the wisdom of Solomon, conquer with the fury of Attila, or innovate beyond your era with the genius of Archimedes?

Notes

֍There are some powerful ones but they really cost more in ruler designer for balancing sake also right now no one starts with these traits but they will start spawning slowly
-Birth chance is 0.10 for Tier 1, 0.04 for Tier 2, 0 for Tier 3-

Although they are really hard to get, most of Tier 3 traits are pretty strong

֍The new Men at Arms require Prestige aswell, that's intended behaviour because they are stronger than vanilla units. -might balance later-

@TaTaRiN I don't understand the question, what do you mean by launch? If you are talking about artifacts, you need to have althe tier 3 trait and you will see the decision.

they will not disappear because every baby has a chance to spawn with them, they are like normal traits but more rarer than most of them.

do you have a mechanic in place to make sure these traits stay in circulation ? I love the idea of the mod but I can imagine the traits mostly dissappearing after just a few generations, some mods with similar ideas also suffered this issue that really hindered the enjoyment.

@RainbowYeti random spawn chance is lower than the inheritance
