Description
Mail Order Catalogs
A semi-honest mail order system that uses computers instead of phones for a QoL UI. The www did exist in July of 1993. It was not like it is now.
  • Guess URLs to discover websites (text-only).
  • Find catalogs in the world to unlock sites in your quick access list (with images).
  • Images represent your character matching catalog item IDs with in-game items.

Important
Default Card PIN: 11 (changeable at any computer via knoxbank[.]com).
You need the catalog in your inventory if you want to use the quick access panel and see images. The catalog is treated as an entertainment source, so you can read it, but when you do it gets destroyed. Be sure to keep a spare if you want to read them.

Hacking "Minigame"
A new "minigame" at ATMs when you have stolen credit cards. You can guess the PIN (2 digits) and attempt to steal money from the accounts. Be careful though, you only have 3 attempts before the card is revoked.
  • Without Hacking Skill you must guess the exact PIN.
  • With Hacking Skill you gain hacking XP and higher levels give you a wider margin for successful guesses.

Current Issues
Delivery Points respawn if picked up. Fallback safety rule due to how delivery is currently handled. Only triggers when delivered to a delivery point that isn't loaded. You can technically duplicate the storage containers.
Delivery is instant, meaning in multiplayer another player could steal what you purchase.

Compatibility
Hopefully there are no issues, but I'm sure there are some. I purposefully touched as little base game code as possible and prefixed everything in an attempt not to clash.
  • Adds a new Context Menu option for Computers and ATMs -> shouldn't cause issues.
  • Adds power to Computers & ATMs -> most likely culprit for compatibility issues.
  • Attaches data to Base.CreditCard -> may clash with other mods that do the same.

Love the idea behind the mod but I cant really think of an explanation of how the fuck tanything s being delivered.

You can find money just the same as base game, in cash registers, in purses, etc. You can also attempt to guess the PIN for credit cards you find at ATMs for money. There are other mods that add money to zombie bodies, as an additional way to find more money. This mod won't have a selling aspect to it, there are economy mods that allow buying and selling, and Mail Order Catalogs has integration patches for several of them.

You should make the mod like Zamazon. That mod was amazing. But once the stable release of b42 comes out nothing is going to work again.

I've patched the issue causing that duplication, its a minor issue, so I won't be releasing a hotfix, but I will hopefully be releasing a large compatibility patch tomorrow that will include the fix.

So, I've noticed a weird bug that if I have the credit card that spawns with Mail Order Catalog somewhere other than the main inventory (like in a bag, wallet, fanny pack, etc.) it will infinitely duplicate itself.

OK, yeah the base game catalogs were added in build 42. I will go through the catalogs and triple check them again.

i found one for zacs hardware. I'm on b41 though and I had never seen a catalog before installing this mod so I'm pretty sure those vanilla catalogs are b42 only
