Obsolete Buildings Normalized

In 1 collection by JNR
JNR's Enhanced Legacies
5 items
Description
Brings back the original decay of building yields when selecting the "Regroup" age transition mode. Overbuildable buildings once again have their flat yield and maintenance adjusted to normalized values.

For everyone who thinks "reset means reset" and does not want any continuity updates introduced outside the explicit "continuity" option.

Features
With "Regroup" chosen under "Age Transition Impact", building yields are adjusted the following way:
  • In the Exploration age, all overbuildable Antiquity age buildings have their maintenance and yields set to 2.
  • In the Modern age, all overbuildable Antiquity and Exploration age buildings have their maintenance and yields set to 3.

At that point, use the Regroup setting. I don't think such details can be adjusted individually right now, it's all hardcoded. Even this mod does not directly revert the fact that building yields are no longer normalized, I simply have it edit all the affected buildings' base yield manually in the later ages.

Another mod suggestion: change Continuity so you again need Commanders to carry over more than the minimum of units. Including preventing you from bringing many naval units from antiquity to exploration.

Just like before, they get 2/3 of each of those yields. Yes, that means 3 Influence monuments in the Modern age are back!

What happens to buildings with more than one type of yields, like Villa and Monuments? I can't see in the images you attached

Good idea actually, will upload that separately in a sec.

Amazing! Is there a way to mod to make Regroup the default setting rather than Continuity? I hate forgetting and only realising I've chosen the crap option 1/3rd of the way through a game.
