Description
This mod expands the strategic depth of subject nations in Victoria, allowing overlords to shape their subjects into active participants in imperial policy rather than passive dependents.
Designed for players who wish to LARP a little bit and manage a network of subject states instead of directly annexing territory.

Expanded Overlord Controls
- Enforce subsidies on subjects to guarantee their economic stability.
- Impose government principles to align their internal politics with the overlord’s ideology.
- Lease innovation and building capacity.
- Force the creation and maintenance of armies and navies within subject nations to favor strong and usefull subjects.

Chartered Company Integration
- Designate a subject as a chartered company, transferring its governance to an overlord-controlled company.
- This system reflects historical colonial arrangements where trading companies directly managed territories on behalf of imperial powers.

State Transfer Mechanic
- Transfer individual states from a puppet to the overlord without infamy. Transferred states are non-integrated.
- Annexation trough confederation: allows integration of culturally similar puppets into the overlord’s state with full integration. To limit the bad Victoria 3 annexation mechanic if you want to make temporary subject arrangements (this is obviously pretty exploitable but pretty usefull for RP, try not to abuse it.)

Overlord Support Actions
- Provide full tax exemptions to subjects, freeing their economies from overlord burdens.
- Send aid to increase market access during shortages.
- Offer legislative assistance to accelerate their law enactment.
- Transfer production method technology to AI-controlled subjects to encourage having puppets.

Subject Economic Improvements
- All puppets receive a modest increase to income and construction capacity. To encourage releasing and keeping subject instead of annexing every conquered land.

Purpose:
The overall goal is to promote a style of play where the overlord actively develops and coordinates its subjects, creating puppet states capable of economic growth and military participation.
(Historically, great powers often relied on such arrangements, turning loyal subjects into strong allies rather than absorbing them entirely. Think of a British Commonwealth)

The subject country no longer takes the name of a renamed company after establishing a chartered company, and instead takes the original name of the company no matter what. This feature of the mod was functional before the 1.10 update.

"Confederate Subject" now works on every culture regardless of cultural similarities. I'm certain this is also not expected behavior.

I did some tests and found out that the mod does not give the liberty desire bonus if the Grey's Subject Interaction Suite mod is active

does the mod add an option for pupets to contribute convoy to the Boss?
my pupet does this, goes into negative convoys, breaks the contribution (pauses the game, cant turn the pause off) and trys it again just to break it 5 days later

It's no use to me to transfer a puppet to a company. Am I doing it wrong? It's making me infame, but I don't see any change in the puppet.

I absorbed Bolivia and now the 120 construction I was giving them can't be put back. The "timed modifier" is just there forever.

Great mod! Things are a bit weird in the Diplomacy>Subjects menu though. Lines of text going into eachother and the 3 options for decreasing Lib Desire have confusing tooltips. And why am I increasing their LD by building military units for them?
