Description
Requested by isiarca, this gigantic map is ported over with an even higher province count than initially advertised. Mighty! Powerful! Grande! That probably explains the name.

I'm also deeply entertained by the cave network. I used those same cave wall assets when I was making maps for D&D.

A 983 Land, 212 Sea behemoth suitable for everybody. Just everybody. I'm not even going to pretend it's a question. Go get mod nations. Let me know how many it takes you to get to the startsite cap or at least weird overlap positions, I'll wait.

Additional but small modifications to the map geography have been made in the porting process; see patchnotes for details.

That is fair, all it would really do is ensure cave starts get their canon start but that's basically all (so that effects like, 5 nations, tops); if you ever find yourself with an insane amount of time it would be appreciated though lol

It would probably be more aesthetic that way, but that would be a lot of extra work. Image cutting, canvas rescaling, hoping that rescale doesn't break dominion borders, almost definitely having to manually repaint the entire border array for the underground, making surface connections, getting vaguely irritated that those surface connections don't actually align with the surface image, etc. And it'd definitely break people's saves unless I uploaded it as a completely separate version.

Like it's definitely doable but oh man. I've been stuck in the process of repainting the borders on Latus for coming on two months at this point. I'm not sure my brain had the correct processor installed for doing a reconstruction that significant from scratch.

Jot it down for a later, maybe . Or fair game if anyone else wants to give it a shot, feel free to edit my files for testing.

I really wish you chopped the underground part off and made it a legit underground component so that the cave nations spawn there more gracefully

Oh hey! Good to see you! Your hard work on the original map is worthy of respect. I've got some thoughts on mapmaking but I seriously doubt I have the brain fortitude to make something of THIS scale. I appreciate that level of commitment, and so far it has not gone unnoticed by the community.

Wow, this map has been re-uploaded. Glad to know someone needs it

yay going to give the map a try

Updated, the only temperature modifiers should be other nations or random magic sites now.

Also fixed a river crossing I apparently missed in the first upload.

@Cumunist Just booted up a quick check and saw what you mean. Checking the map file in the editor, looks like all those tiles are tagged to be a step colder than the rest of the map by default, so they're loading in on the Winter/Snow texture. They were set that way in the Dominions 5 version as well.

Don't really know WHY though, they seem a little weirdly placed and don't really have any other modifiers. I'll do a quick pass through the file and set them back to standard temperatures, expect a minor update shortly.

a I missing something when i load the map there seem to be missing textures or something. The top left and bottom right the landscape looks patchy like some of the tiles are gray
