[WOTC] Chimera Squad: Terminal Squadmate

Description

This mod adds Terminal from Chimera Squad as a soldier by allowing her to join your Gatecrasher mission (turned on by default) or by using the console command: AddTerminalToHQ


TERMINAL

Terminal lost her family in the invasion and was ultimately adopted by a doctor who’d lost her only daughter. She developed an interest in medicine and apprenticed under the doctor for years. Sadly, Terminal was orphaned again when an ADVENT attack wiped out their town. She was pulled from the rubble by a resistance group; once she recovered, she eagerly pledged her skills to their cause.

STRENGTHS
  • She’s as handy with a gun as she is with a MediKit.
  • Aid Protocol can receive several upgrades and starts off with a buff that includes healing.

HARD REQUIREMENTS
The Requirements listed are all Required... PLUS for the mod to function properly please include 1 of the following:
NOTE

  • I would love to see Terminal added through a different method. If anyone has any suggestions (that know how to code it) please let me know.
  • Although not a requirement you can obtain Terminal's Gremlin from this mod: Chimera Squad Gremlins
  • Since Chimera Squad didn't give the Agents first and last names I went with the Voice Actors who played the Agent.
  • For campaigns in progress or if you want to spawn a new Terminal unit in the console type: AddTerminalToHQ
KNOWN ISSUE
  • Terminal will start with the Assault Rifle equipped. Not 100% sure if this was a mod conflict on my own end but issue is fairly minor. Just requires swapping it out for the Bullop.
  • I do have code placed to allow Terminal to start on the Gatekeeper mission, however this mission is already pretty crowded with the other mods.

MOD CONFIGURATION OPTIONS:

XComClassData.ini
  • If you would like to train other soldiers as a "Medic" class, add a numeric value to these options: +NumInForcedDeck=0 +NumInDeck=0
XComTerminalSquadmate.ini
  • You can add Terminal to the Gatekeeper mission here or modify her starting appearance.

You can for sure make them rewards through guerilla ops. There is a mod that allows you to config in the exact details of who can be a reward, if you need help I can show you how. I do this with my custom campaign for alien species coming in only as rewards with special classes designed for that specific species of allies unknown.

Do you have to start new game to get her?

@Larianshill It was the closest hair style to what she has in Chimera Squad. Although you can't see it from the photo her head is shaved on the other side.

@BlackDog yeah I'm on the modding discord channel. I had attempted to setup a rescue mission with Verge but it was way over my head.

I believe there are methods to allow soldiers to be added as potential rewards in guerilla ops (like the VIP manning the turret's assistant on lost map or soldiers that you have to rescue during a mission). If you're interested in doing it, someone on the nodding discord will deffo give you a hand :)

I've made a class for Patchwork already, just haven't published it. If I put a voicepacks together for her I may publish it.

I've also went through and sorted out the Zephyr voice lines. Like to figure out a better was to bring them into the game.

Very cool. Are you planning on bringing in all of Chimera Squad's members? I know Patchwork and Zephyr were canonically members of X-Com.
