Battlezone: Resurgence [OPEN BETA]
Not Currently Being Developed

NOTICE: This mod is in open beta, and is provided as an open source asset pack. What does this mean?
  • There are unfinished elements and features
  • The mod will most likely not be finished by me
  • There will almost certainly be bugs, glitches, or other problems with some of the content despite me doing my best to avoid that

Currently not in active development. You're welcome to use these assets in your own projects provided credit is given.

Battlezone: Resurgence is a large mod pack that brings back many cut units, concepts, and mechanics. It includes currently in open beta:
  • A scripted and MOSTLY completed CCA campaign utilizing all the new units
  • A West Germany Faction playground map, mainly for testing and discovering the faction
  • All the model files. These include NSDF Air Striker, Striker, Interceptor (red devil reskin), Drone Carrier, Combat Drone, Flak Launcher, Cruise Missile System, Heavy Howitzer, Mobile Artillery Cannon, Plasma Gun Tower, Nuke Silo, Bio Filter, Mobile Carrier, Mobile Repair Unit (MRU), VTOL. CCA Rammer, Air Striker, AA Gun, Hind, Guided Missile Unit, CCA Assault Carrier, Laser Defense System, Bio Silo. West Germany Light Tank, Rocket Tank, Heavy Tank, Walker, Turret, Howitzer, all key buildings, Interceptor, Scout, APC, Minelayer, Bomber, Tug, Scavenger, Armory.

What assets this mod contains:
  • All Imperial Insurrection/Rise of the Black Dogs canceled units, recreated by myself and a couple other artists based off the concept art
  • Lost Brigade Units, created by me
  • West German Faction, originally started and designed by Cothonian. Now fully complete, with the help of GroovySphinx and myself!

Last I tested that mission, if you build where the blinking locator is, it should work. Unfortunately I can't commit to fixing up the campaign at this time, but I'm leaving this up as an asset pack as it has all the models/units in it for anyone else to use.

anyone else getting the bug on mission 4 when building the launch pad and immediately getting a mission failed screen?

So, Resurgence is out in beta as more of a mod pack. It has all the assets, Lua modules, art, etc. It's fully open source, so anyone can use it for their own projects just add credit. I'm going to be taking a bit of a modding break from BZ98 for now and divert my work to other projects.
I won't be updating any mods except for critical bug fixes going forward.
I wanted to fully finish Resurgence but I just dont have time right now, so as much as I'd like to complete it it just isn't feasbile right now. Where its at now is where it'll stay for the foreseeable future.

Hi Alex - it is the Crimson Glory campaign. I added a prefix so its easier to find.

This currently has an IA mission and a custom campaign available. It's not a mod you activate. I will be double checking why it's giving errors on the campaign as well

I tested the campaign first mission and that should be fixed now, let me know if you get any errors. @Karlopitek, that would be cool for sure, I don't have the skills to make that happen but I'm sure someone could.
