Description
Sadly Uuugggg has passed away, I'm going to continue this mod (and some/all of his others) in order to preserve his legacy and impact on RimWorld.

Original Mod
Github[github.com]

Original Description

Construction will use things in your colonist or pack animal's inventory.

Your own inventory is used first, then any resources as normal - and then if there's nothing available anywhere, other people's inventory will be used.

---

This is perhaps the most unneeded, but still-should-be mod. If you're going on a raid and you want to build some sandbags, you can just carry steel in your caravan, and that steel will be used to build. Without this, you'd have to find the steel on a pack animal and manually drop it, and drop only enough, and that's a pain, right? So here's this mod.

---

Note: The normal game doesn't build if there isn't enough materials available for the entire building to be completed. Inventory building will be used if ANY material is available.

---

Do you want medicine from your inventory? Smart Medicine

Do you want to get food from animal's inventory? Meals on Wheels

Do you want to sleep in a bedroll from your inventory? Use Bedrolls

Last minute add: I tested with my full mod-list including Build from Storage and NOT this mod, and it also worked as expected, so there's a decent chance that there's a conflict between that mod and this one that was introduced w/ the latest 1.6 update.

Again, as this mod also covers the functionality of the other plus allows building from pawn inventory, I don't think it's necessary to run both; it may simply have been a 'legacy' decision where I had that mod before adding this one, but since it caused no issues and the descriptions imply different functions, I never removed the other.

So I think I actually got my mods mixed up; I use both this one, and Build from Storage, and I was thinking this one was that one.

The initial report was with my full mod list, but I just tested it clean, first with just this mod and minify everything, and it worked without issue. I also re-tested it with this mod and build from storage and it also worked cleanly. so that most likely is a conflict somewhere else; without an error being thrown, it's hard to say, though.

On the flip side, I noticed that just using this mod allowed them to build the walls from the minified objects, so I may not need both... and testing with JUST this mod (and not the other) worked as desired, so I have a solution. I will go leave a mod comment on the other mod to let them know this is an interaction to look out for, though. I'm leaving this up just for information purposes.

@Darius Wolfe ~ Does it happen with your full mod list, or just with Minify Everything and Build From Inventory? And is it when trying to pick something up from a normal stockpile, or from inventory?

Have a new problem that I'm fairly certain involves this mod and the new 1.6 update, but it's not generating any errors that I can see, so it's hard to pinpoint.

I uninstalled a bunch of walls and columns (Minify Everything) and wanted to reinstall them elsewhere, a thing I've done many times before. This time, the moment I tell it to install a wall, it'll pick from the nearby uninstalled wall (you can see the line) and then the UI will completely disappear, and I'll be unable to interact with the game at all. It will keep running if it was not paused, but no keyboard input or mouse input works. I have to manually kill the game before I can play again.

I can still manually click each uninstalled wall segment to install, but the specific function this mod provides is broken. If I note any other odd behavior (at the time I just wanted to play, so I worked around it once I'd determined the problem) I'll update, but I did want to make a report before I forget about it.

@Jerber69 ~ If beds while exploring is what you want, try Use Bedrolls in the mod description ^.^ Also side note, an update is coming for Smart Medicine to stock bedrolls ^.^

Thank you!!! Always hated manually dropping tents and installing them whenever I want to explore:onion:

@MemeGoddess thank you <3

@einBetra ~ Should be perfectly fine to uninstall, although I'd try to make sure there's no active construction when you do it, otherwise you might get some (harmless) red errors ^.^
