Extend Wire Length

Tired of wires snapping the moment your contraption moves or comes under tension? This tool has you covered! Easily extend wires to give them some slack and keep everything connected and stable.

What it does

Adds the button “Extend wires…”
Lets you type any integer. Positive numbers lengthen, negative shorten.
Works on ALL Distance-Joint wires.

Why?

Wires in PPG suck, well, not really, only if they are under tension. Destructible wires are really weak, and non-destructible wires will just yeet your craft at the speed of light if they are not in a good mood and under tension. Giving wires a bit of extra length (even just 1 meter) can fix those issues, making your contraptions more reliable!

How to use

Select one or many objects
Right-click and click Extend wires…
Enter a value (can be either positive or negative), press Apply. Done!

Compatibility

Safe to add or remove at any time.
I recommend installing my other mod, Wire Length Keeper, to prevent wires from having their length reset when the game is paused and you drag them around.
Should extend work with wires from other mods as long as they derive from DistanceJointWireBehaviour (most do). If a modded wire isn’t affected, ask the author!!!!
This is vanilla-friendly. Mod won't be required when saving contraptions.

@audchro Oops, sorry, I kinda forgot about decimals lol. I just pushed an update fixing it. You should be able to use values like 0.1 now

Could this work with decimals? I want to add just a little bit of length to make my destructible wires less, destructible... But, I find that 1 meter is way too much.
