Repairable Gear (1.6 TEMP)

Description
This is a temporary port of Repairable Gear by SteveZero

Will be deleted when the official version gets an update or original author request deletion.

Original description here:

This is not just About.xml version change, its a recompiled and fixed version using solution left by original author.

Delete the original before using, even unloaded duplicate might cause severe bugs

This appears to be relatively stable in Odyssey and doesnt need any extra attention. I will not add any extra features or fix old bugs since its just a temporary port.

I figured it out. WorkTableWorkSpeedFactor in the bench.

Great mod. I wish we could adjust how LONG it takes them to do the repairs though. I adjusted Workamount in the XML but it had no effect. Says it took less time at the workbench but still took the forever amount of time.

Fair enough, no worries!
Regarding balance, I'm kinda thinking that if they can repair cataphracts (and whatever 'apparel' any mods add) they should be able to repair a shield belt or an ammo pack.
But i totally get the maintenance/port vs adoption aspect! Thanks for the reply and have a good one!

This is not an adoption, this is temporary port provided as is, Ill consider it but thats the question for the distant future.

You cant repair anything not tagged as apparel or armor. This in not the philosophy of the original mod to allow you to do anything besides those two.

To be honest, adding tags for utility slot items is pretty easy, I just dont want to mess with the balance of the original.

Could you add a bit broader selection, like utility packs, belts (shield, ammo from VE), or exoskeleton frames from VWE-Heavy weapons?

I agree Archeotech no repair. ty for the update

There is a way to make them repairable if you still want to, just write your own recipe for vanilla workbench to craft them and include whatever rare ingridients you seem fit and then ignore it.

Or just use LST Maintence, they approach repairing differently and allow to repair anything you wear on the pawn. You will still need the knowledge on how to craft it, but it can be disabled in the settings, which allows you to repair rare equip

@JustDradgoon No recipe for crafting - no repairs. Its more of a technical limitation, but I think it also fits the "lore", why whould you be able to repair archotech?

It seems that the Archoplates that spawn with archons can’t be repaired- not sure why it just says there’s nothing to repair.

I even selected only the Archoplate.
