Improved Odyssey Insect Larva

Description
I was disappointed with how lacklustre the new Hive Queen and Larva was once I tamed them, so this mod makes some improvements to them without being a whole expanded overhaul or anything like that. Now you can grow your own bug colony!

Changes the Larva Egg from the egg spew ability for the Hive Queen into a more... eggy egg? Also new skills for the Larva that allows them to metamorph into the different insect types.
You now have to Train the separate metamorph skill added to Larva to access the abilities.

May be unbalanced, broken in strange ways or whatever.

Now here is what I have changed/added in more detail:

The new Eggs now have a gestation time before they actually hatch, and damaging them no longer pops out a new larva instantly, you now need to wait for it to grow.

4 New abilities are added to the Larva, one for each of the insect forms. After selecting the skill, the larva will then turn into a cocoon and take a few in game hours to transform into the selected insect type.

All changes are standalone and do not alter anything already in the game, besides changing the type of egg from the Hive Queen ability, and adding the new ability activation capability to the Larvae, along with a new trainable to it. So any existing/world spawned eggs still pop a larva when damaged and do not hatch with time.

Will work fine on existing saves, but any existing Larva may not be able to morph.
Should be safe to remove from a save as long as there are no eggs with a hatch timer, or any Larva in any morph cocoons.

This is my first attempt at a code mod, so Special thanks to Jdalt and his Growth Moments Make Sense Now mod, It had the whole project setup easily so that I was able to get started with that as a pre-setup workspace.

I trained the Larvae to morph, but I can't find the button to make them change. I can only make them shoot the slime. How do I make them morph?

Thank you for this mod, such a niche thing but very neat nevertheless.

Hia! I just want you to know, this is the perfect mod for me and I'm so happy you made this. I exclusively play Rimworld with a tribal insect cult, and when I saw the Hive Queen I knew I needed to base my new play through around having one. But the whole thing about larvae being separate from the insects and not growing into them ruined the whole immersion.
This mod is perfect and its everything I wanted! I am going to use it in every playthrough from now on! Thank you so much for making it!

@King Again, its already answered in the description, please read the description if you don't understand this explanation

The only things that are changed is that the:
- egg ability from the queen is now a custom egg, yes just only the queens eggs.
- any existing eggs from before the mod are not changed.
- any world generated eggs are un-changed, as they are not an egg from the queens ability.
- the morph has been added to the Larva itself , should not matter how the Larva is obtained, but may not retroactively work on already existing Larva from before the mod was added.

What I mean by it does not change anything already in the game, I mean that I have not changed or altered any core items, cocoons, eggs or systems, except for the abilities , and anything else you see is all custom content that does not modify or alter anything already in the game, so its all custom and standalone content.

OP, I managed to add my own custom cocoons and abilities! You did awesome! BTW, thank you for such a cool Mod!

Sorry, I don't understand how that answers the question. When you say it doesnt change anything already in the game, do you mean already spawned, or simply vanilla assets, spawned or not?
I also was asking if they hatch with time or if a larva comes out of them, I was asking if the ones from non-queen egg sacks were subject to the same evolutionary process as the queen ones that you have altered with the mod. Ya know what, never mind, I'll move on. I thought it was a simple question.

@King It is as exactly as in the description "All changes are standalone and do not alter anything already in the game, besides changing the type of egg from the Hive Queen ability, and adding the new ability activation capability to the Larvae. So any existing eggs still pop a larva when damaged and do not hatch with time."

Does this affect larva from egg sacks that can be found in other areas of the game, such as in ancient dangers, and what comes up from underground insect attacks? The eggs sacks you get from those spew out 1 larva when they are destroyed, which you can tame. Would be cool if they could be evolved.

i was looking for something like this! I would have loved this for the base game, or maybe a system of the larva changing into forms based on what it eats! thanks so much!
