Gene Ripper

Description
Updated for 1.6 Compatibility. This is not my own creation, but taken upon myself to update it as it has not been updated for 1.6 yet, and no word from the original uploader.

I will take it down if requested by the original uploader :)

Original Description:

The Gene Ripper is an advanced Gene Extractor that allows you to choose the gene to be extracted from a pawn. Since a large amount of genetic material is required to extract a specific gene, the pawn is killed in the process.

I don't have enough time in my life to play with the stupid & incredibly tedious mechanic of randomly selecting genes from pawns over and over. Your mod saves the day and even balances it out by killing pawns in the process. Good job. :steamthumbsup:

can it extract archite genes?
BRSaura 1 Sep @ 4:40am
But it kinda makes sense because they get turned into a paste....somehow
BRSaura 1 Sep @ 4:36am
@Schadenfreude It is, as long as the deathless comes as a endogene, extraction on the vanilla extractor won't kill them, but place them in a coma.

If it's introduced as a xenogene they die and deathless is lost.

On the other hand with this mod it doesn't care, it will kill your pawn like it pressed the command kill on them and bypasses it.

@BRSaura
Not true, in vanilla Deathless doesn't prevent death from having genes extracted while genes are regrowing.

I imagine it follows the same logic, if you choose to selectively rip out a gene the pawn dies, no matter what, like they've been regrowing genes and were subjected to gene extraction.

Any reason why pawns with deathless still die? not even vanilla does that lol

Fotis didn't ask for something *less* overpowered, they asked for something *more*. Great job on your reading comprehension there, though!

@Fotis you have the option to NOT install it.
