[DHM]Hybrid-Powered Gravships

Description
2025.07.24-

Now, you can choose electric or chemfuel, and also can select which use first.

📦 [DHM] Hybrid-Powered Gravships

Gravships no longer rely solely on chemfuel. Now, they can draw power directly from fuel tanks or batteries.

🔹 Overview
This mod upgrades the functionality of the Grav Engine by enabling it to use electric power as an alternative to chemfuel. Gravships now operate on a hybrid system, drawing energy directly from fuel tanks or batteries.

🔧 Features
⚡ Hybrid fuel system: Supports chemfuel, electric power, or both.

🔌 Prioritizes chemfuel; when chemfuel is low or unavailable, batteries are used instead.

🔍 Details
The grav engine will prioritize chemfuel first.

If chemfuel is insufficient or absent, it will consume stored power from batteries connected to the grav engine.

🧩 Compatibility

✅ Compatible with all DLCs.

🧪 Tested on RimWorld 1.6.

💡 Notes
For efficient hybrid operation, it is recommended to build a stable power grid and place batteries around the engine.

This mod does not modify vanilla defs directly; all changes are applied via patches to maximize compatibility.

This mod alters in-game translations, so some terms may be changed.

* Now when installing batteries or powertanks, it is compatible with all batteries added to the mod via the connected power grid.

* It operates normally even without a chemfuel tank.

What a great idea but I feel like the battery tanks take forever to fill up and it seems to take forever to get a full launch going? Im like 9k excess but it seems to charge really slowly.

I got it to work, but might want to put a warning that its not working with other mods that effect gravengine.

Also, another warning that doing power only, with Gravship start is very hard. Cant store enough power, before mechs arrive, as you need at least 50 fuel worth to land planet side. Unless you make 1 power equal 1 fuel or something like that.

CrazyOdd : if that mod change to gravengine, not work.

Top of list or bottom of list, this mod dont seem to work for power mode.

My guess is that mods like "Vanilla Chemfuel Expanded - Odyssey Patch", plus maybe other mods effecting the Gravengine it self, changes the coding enough to where this mod dont take effect.

There seems to be a problem with retranslating the translation file. I'll check later.

So I'm having an issue that was reported previously by @Hektar that there doesn't seem to have been a solve for. I'm getting the following error [pastebin.com] with just this mod, Harmony, and the dlc loaded. I've tried loading the game with and without rimsort and have done a clean install of the game and mods and none seem to fix the issue. The only thing that I can think of that might be an edge case is the fact that I run Linux and not Windows, but even that feels doubtful.

Великолепный мод. Не думал ли ты добавить кнопку при выборе гравитационного двигателя для переключения топлива? иначе каждый раз приходится заходить в настройки мода.

Having the same issue as Pappi_Rabbi - works on Win, but won't load in-game on the Steam Deck.
