FAQ:

Q: Why is my hybrid culture not appearing?
A: The meantime to happen is 600 months, you can turn on faster conversions in game settings if that is not satisfactory. I am going off the norman conversion time.

Q: Why didn't you add X?
A: Because either it had no coastal connection to scandinavia or it directly bordered it (so the hybrid would be too common). Exceptions are Russia, which I didn't add as to not make Rurik a mess and England, which already has it's own spagetthi hybrydization mechanics which I shall not interfere with.

Either that or I forgot it, in which case remind me of it in the comments.

Q: Actually the name for X should be...
A: Don't care lmao

Q: The event says that the conversion was for Norman
A: Yeah that's because I'm too lazy to make a new localization for each of the cultures. Whoops!

Q: Is this compatible with HIP?
A: No, but I made a supported version.

I hope you enjoy this mod

Most sincerely,
Świt

@mariusz_jarzyna that is correct

These cultures got no dynasty names for characters. When a new noble is created, their dynasty gets their name from one of the counties in liege's demesne

Thanks

@mariusz_jarzyna im not sure who in their right mind would like to do that but I added it for you

Could you also add one for Indian cultures? And possibly one for the Iranian ones

> Except Mongols

So, Finland excluded?

@jaslingard honestly no clue what are you onto here but I don't think that's called hybrydisation anymore, thats just a custom culture creation with conditions
jaslingard 18 Jul @ 10:20am
What if you set an extra condition for the hybridisation? Like a game rule or having a title decision that can only being taken by the player which instigates the event?
Świt  [author] 18 Jul @ 10:08am
@jaslingard what you essentially do with hybrydization is you create a new culture and create events for it to appear when the conditions are met. What the problem is with having neighbouring culture hybrydize is:

Primo - cultures will constantly hybrydize on the border. It will be very rare for the culture align with the ruler. This is problematic because it creates needless revolt risk and isn't very fun to deal with.
Secundo - it prevents proper assimilation due to constant flipping to the hybrid culture. It also advantages one side due to a phenomenon known as "culture groups"

In general it is considered a bad design choice to have neighbouring cultures hybrydize.
