More diverse Maps

Description
This Mod adds 9 new Map Types:
(The vanilla maps will still be playable, of course)

🌍 Diverse Continents

This variation of the Continents Plus Map Type features a dynamic amount of mountains & hills, and a more dynamic biome distribution. The biomes will no longer be only created based on the latitude, but also somewhat random. That means: No more biomes that just stretch across the globe from west to east along a certain latitude!
The number of mountains and hills will vary from game to game too, but will on average generate a few more mountains than per default, and also generate them in bigger clusters/mountain chains.
Jungle and Tundra will still be generated around their specific latitudes, but now also have a chance to deviate from that latitude a bit, and be larger or smaller.
Finally, there are also some islands besides the continents, just as in the normal Continents Plus Map type.

🌎 Diverse Continents and Islands

A more diverse Continents and Islands map with a mixed biome distribution, just as in diverse continents.

🌎 Diverse Pangaea and Islands

A more diverse Pangaea and Islands map with a mixed biome distribution, just as in diverse continents.

🌎 Noisy Continents

This Map Type effectively does the same as diverse continents, but with a lot smaller and more noisy biome distributions.

🌎 Diverse archipelago

A more diverse archipelago map with a mixed biome distribution, just as in diverse continents.

🌎 Diverse Fractal

A more diverse fractal map with a mixed biome distribution, just as in diverse continents.

🌎 Diverse Fractal++

A more diverse fractal map with a mixed biome distribution, and a more random landmass generation. This can lead to one big or multiple smaller landmasses being generated. The shape of these landmasses is also random.
Since there is not always a second big continent to explore, this map type might be a bit more challenging during the exploration age especially.
Note: This script sometimes crashes on tiny or small maps. I recommend using standard size or larger.

🌎 Diverse Terra Incognita continents

A mix between a continents and a Terra Incognita Map: All civs start on one continent, but there is an entire second continent to be found and settled (not just islands). Both continents have a mixed biome distribution, just as the diverse continents map. The starting continent is slightly larger than the other one, in order to provide enough space for everyone to spawn.

🌎 Diverse Pangaea Plus

A more diverse Pangaea Plus map with a mixed biome distribution, just as in diverse continents.

Hint: If you want to review a few maps, you can open the ingame console (using ~ key, or another key depending on your language) and type "reveal all" to see the whole map. Just make sure to save before you do that, if you want to explore the map manually afterwards.

@Kody Yeah, that's the one I also thought about most. I'll think about it, but no promises.

I guess Archipelago is really the only other truly unique map type, and I'm not sure how much it would benefit from it, but that would be the one that comes to mind for me.

@Kody Great to hear! Yes, it's definitely possible to create other voronoi-based map types. I'm not yet sure if I will add more to the mod, because I don't want to over-inflate the amount of map types, but from a principal standpoint, it shouldn't be too hard. Is there a specific map type you were thinking about?

Thank you for the new voronoi updates, the mountain options are great! Do you know if other map types can be created with that new generation method or is it hard-coded to only the two maps officially supported?

@renetschultz Yes, the possibility of that is actually intended with my mod. Deserts near the poles can get their fair share of snow :)

I am seeing a desert tile with snow on it. Never seen it in vanilla maps so not sure if it occurs there too.

Während des Spiel leider verbuggt. Konnte keine Scouts mehr aufs Land schicken und die Gegner habe ich nicht mehr aufgedeckt.

Thank you!

@madpluck @Kody That is likely due to the randomly chosen mountain-amount being too high on restart, yeah. I just posted an update to limit the maximum settable amount of mountains a bit more, so that hopefully crashes don't appear as often anymore.
Kody 2 Sep @ 6:08pm
Yes, I got the same fatal error on restart.
