Description
This is Cave with a word of caution for all test subjects. If you think you can see more colours on the visible light spectrum than usual, don't panic. That's a normal side effect of this new Hard Light technology we're trying out. Might take some getting used to, but eventually I think you'll find that seeing infrared and ultraviolet is pretty handy. What's not so useful is seeing brand new colours that have never been observed before. Lab boys have assured me they have that under control though, so no need to panic. In unrelated news, I'm trying to decide what colour to paint my office. I'm thinking maybe hypercyan. No, too gaudy. Quasifuschia? No! I know just the thing... How about a tasteful ubermaroon?

Λvery: Man oh man, time really does fly when you're hard at work....and maybe a little lazy at times. Anyways wow yes, hard to believe the last time I uploaded a solo map was in 2023, has it really been that long? Regardless, welcome to Spectrum! Yet again another incredible puzzle by Demon Arisen, this time with an exclusive focus on Conversion Gel, accompanied by light bridges and a faith-plate of course. This was such a fun puzzle to 'Wheatley-ify' over the course of ~9 months, even if it had some headaches in the development process here and there, and what a great day, to release it on too. Consider this a birthday present, Demon!

Demon Arisen: It's been a pleasure once again to see Avery breathe new life into one of my old puzzles, with quite possibly the most detailed and expansive Wheatley-style map I've ever seen! Not only has Avery beautified this puzzle exquisitely, she's also fixed up the weak points and patched up the exploits present in my version. I'm delighted to call Avery's map the definitive version of Spectrum. A real birthday treat!

(A lot of people playtested this map, but I forgot to write down who. So if you played it and your name isn't here, sorry! Feel free to message me on Discord, and I'll fix it.)

Very ambitious - with all the detailing, no wonder it took so long.

I had a nitpick or two, like there being a kill trigger right next to an easily paintable surface in the bottomless pit, so when I took a peek through a portal I died instantly (And despite making some progress, there was no autosave before that so I had to start over from the elevator).
However that's really minor criticism and everything else I have for the map is praise.

Great map! I watched Medhaze's play-through. I did not do the last part to do the last launch to the exit as he did. One difference was I placed the portal to the floor the same way as Tyr Anasazi #2, not #1.

Amazing map and hammer work, I vaguely remembered the original but it still had me stumped for a bit! Also love seeing conversion gel used well in a puzzle!

Took me a very long time to get to the faith up to the exit door. key steps were to get gel bombs into the upper area and paint the surface below the exit opening in the floor, push cube into that same area after painted and use to block turret, leave cube on the painted floor area Apparently there are a couple dead end areas - spent too much time in them. Great map thanks for creating.

joe98 hint: get goo on the walls below the faithplate, I did it by painting the wall to the left of faith plate, first one side, the the other then with a bit of splatter hitting the 90 degree wall on from there to below the plate. Then get on light bridge and bridge your way to the cube and back again. I'm not sure if I did it in the intended way, but it worked!

PS. I think I cheesed getting the dube to the upper platform and my way to exit. 1. I didn't use the angled panel at the laser-grate, I just painted the walls (similar to described above) next to the cube button and was able to slowly get it high enough to be able to hit it from the upper deck and get the cube up there afterwards. 2. If you place cube at the broken window you can juuust manage to jump high enough to place a portal below the exit hole. I suppose I was supposed to make a portal from the upper deck somehow.

Epic map, very very nicely designed it sure did require a lit of grey-matter-activity to solve this one. Keep up the good job of making maps.

To me the most part was to get the cube and to some degree to get it to the upper deck.

I placed portable goo everywhere that I could.
I cannot see a way to obtain the cube so I am stumped thank you.

Outstanding work, one if the best puzzles I've played in quite some time. A great challenge requiring thought and creativity.

The puzzle took me a combined total of around 2 and a half hours to solve, at times I got pretty stuck and didn't know what to do next but I definitely enjoyed. The visuals are some of the best I've seen so far
