Description
Brings back the beloved MP5K/SMG2 from the beta. This took certainly a while to make. To spawn the MP5K in, type in "ent_create weapon_alyxgun" in console, and once the MP5K worldmodel spawns press E to equip it.

Maps Replaced:
d1_canals_05 (this is where you obtain the weapon.)

WARNING!
If you are experiencing issues, like the MP5K not appearing or just blatantly not working, follow these steps: First go to C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\half-life 2\hl2, inside you'll create a folder with the name "custom", after that, go to C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\workshop\content\220\3512615720, and copy "workshop_dir.VPK", lastly, paste the VPK into "custom". After that, you're all set.

the room in route kanal is literally just not there for me with that little rebel outpost where the mp5k is

The way you redirect the sound file is almost exactly how you create texture overrides in New Vegas!

btw I forget which slot basehlcombatweapon uses or what slot people put it on most of the time, but if you want this to not have that awkward gap inbetween selecting the mp5 and the ar2, just change the bucket part to
"bucket" "2"
"bucket_position" "2"
"bucket_360" "2"
"bucket_position_360" "2"

the best way to not conflict when doing this though is changing the fire1.wav sound in weapons/extinguisher and making the custom weapon direct to "Weapon_Extinguisher.Single"

sounds in source games sometimes dont rely on a path to the actual sound for some reason, sometimes it relies off of a weird thing like Weapon_SniperRifle.Single which holds the path to the sound it has in a txt file like game_sounds_weapons.txt
