These mods take a lot of work, patronage helps.

It's all just items. Don't forget Core mod, it has base defs.

Apparel:
Clothes: kimono, yukata
Hats: straw hat
Helmets: jingasa helmet, kabuto helmet , (CE) menpo mask
Armor: samurai pants, armored sleeves, samurai armor, ashigaru armor, samurai shoulder plates
Accessories: obi, sword pair belt, cartridge box, yumi arrow quiver, rice ration bundle, sashimono banner

Melee: kanabo, ararebo, wakizashi, katana, yari, nagae-yari, naginata
Ranged: yumi (bow) ban-zutsu (arquebus), tan-zutsu (pistol), samurai-zutsu (cavalry carbine), o-zutsu (hand cannon) (CE: round (demolition) shot, buckshot, (secondary mode) incendiary rockets)

Clan Banners:
clan insignia versions for some items (will add more), can be assigned as faction ideo style

Lot of the items have alternative stylings, you should get Craft with Color so you can have your stuff painted and styled appropriately!

No known conflicts.

Q: Why does <item> have <value><stat>?
A: If you're using CE we can have a design discussion, but I don't play vanilla nor pretend (or really think is possible) to understand how vanilla should be balanced, please do submit better values, here or in a gitub issue. If something looks like a typo, it most probably is.

Q: Is this compatible with Combat Extended?
A: I indeed would prefer to be able to play with my own mods, yes.

Q: Safe to add/remove midgame?
A: Safe to add midgame. Safe to remove midgame, but you will get a harmless one-time errors. Do mind loadouts tho.

Q: Is that a Kenshi reference?
A: Yes.

The reasoning for the added layer was that humans don't tend to stack too many clothes on their hands for obhious mobility reasons so if something is already covering hands it should (in most cases) block other stuff covering it.
Am I lazy and not follow up on the consequences of my desing decision by patching a bunch of mods to preempt people complaining about? Also yes.
Underarmor is a bit more complicated, these both are helper layers i put there so i can make my sets work better.
RPG Style Inventory I don't particularly care for tbh.

Sorry, I didn't understand your answer. There are three layers: Skin, Middle, and Outer.
A pawn can only wear one item per layer, but they can overlap if the layers are different. For example: T-shirt (Skin) + Jacket (Middle) + Duster (Outer)
...but then each item covers one or more body slots, of course some parts like hands and feet are available only with mod like Vanilla Expanded Apparel and same story for the utility slot. Do you mean you are not using the additional slots? Thanks and sorry if I insist, I just wanted to understand your reasoning, because now I can wear really too much stuff all at once and using mods like RPG Style Inventory they all remain piled up in a single generic category even if they are indicated as layer Webbing, middle, utility, TA_xxx.
For example your layer TA_UnderArmour is not like middle? TA_Bootglove id not like Feet Outer and Hans outer?

Layers are assigned with internal consistency in mind, best to have external gloves to take up my glove layer too.
Tanto are knife restyle, other stuff you can't find are probably CE-only for now.

Ciao, thank you very much :) you did a great job, I love everything about this mod, I would like to ask you if these small issues 1.6 are known:
tanto,nagae-yari,menpo and basket back up are not visible in the game
boots, gloves, pants, kote e sode, arrow quiver and cartridge box are not fitting the right slot, this is visible and obvious as you can wear 2 pairs of pants, gloves or boots, one standard and one from your Armory mod. Than you
It would be great to have a shield that matches the Sengoku concept!

vaguely remeber someone mentioning patching them on T's Samurai Factions, dunno, I haven't actually played RW for over a year...

Nice mod, but I was wondering if there were any mods that had these armors as a default? Or maybe a mod that distributes something like the steppe armor to that one Kesh mod? Something like SPID for Skyrim but for rimworld?

need to update the VE Framework compatibility parts, haven't gotten to it yet, if you aren't using VE it should be fine in theory
