Description
Overview
Schemes Expanded is an intrigue-focused mod that aims at adding more schemes to the game as well as provide additional balance related to schemes and secrets. It allows characters to impact the game in new ways and forge a new path to greatness

Schemes
Hostile
  • Antagonize Council: Create chaos and sour relationships between rulers and their councils
  • Antagonize Spouse: Sow discord in couples by telling lies to spouses about their partners
  • Convert Faith: Convince the non-believers to convert and follow your god
  • Intimidate: Make your foes tremble in their shoes and shake at your sight
  • Instigate Revolt: Destabilize realms by manipulating rulers to revolt against their liege
  • Tarnish Reputation: Spread rumours about others and lower their status
  • Theft: Leverage your skills to gain some gold
Personal
  • Mentor: Share your knowledge and support others' intellectual growth
Warfare
  • Warfare Misinformation: Use your guile to feed warfare misinformation to your foes
  • Raid Supply Routes: Crush your opponent supply routes
Trait
  • Levelled Intrigue-focused trait with positive & negative tracks.
    • Gain Positive XP when successfully completing schemes
    • Gain Negative XP when getting caught
    • Yearly Negative XP Drain
Customizable
  • Rules to activate/deactivates schemes & levelled-trait
Rebalance (WIP)
  • Schemes have slightly more chances to fail, be discovered, and agents are slightly more difficult to recruit


Requirements
  • Travel the Distance: Soft requirement. Will work without but some schemes will be less balanced.


Compatibility
  • Overwrites no vanilla files, but overwrites some scheme & secret-related effects vanilla functions as well as parts of NScheme from defines.
  • Should be compatible with most mods.
  • Ran great on my playlist w/ WoC/VIET/RICE/CFP/EPE/CE/Carnal/CBO/TCT/DarkAges/LandlessOpportunities/BumToGod/...
  • Compatible w/ AGOT

Maybe I messed up somewhere but when testing this mod it seemed to be a lot of setup for little reward. I wanted to use intrigue to cause rebellions/insurrections in foreign realms but upon completing the scheme there was only a small change of opinion.

The mod is great, but the Warfare Misinformation and Raid Supply Routes schemes are extremely annoying with windows constantly appearing on the entire screen. I think it's worth changing this event to a pop-up message in the lower right corner of the screen. There's only one answer option and one line of text in the window anyway.

With so many schemes, it would be great to be able to run multiple at the same time, especially when my character is intrigue focused, it's weird.

this mod would be good if you didnt gain an absurd amount of stress every time someone does a scheme against you, this mod is pretty much unplayable

Heya. Love the mod. Great work. A little something that needs balancing is the mentor scheme, which gives the player stress loss if they initiate it and have a learning education. Only thing is, there's no cooldown so it can be triggered again several times sequentially to get rid of all stress.

Configuration in game rules of the trait would be nice. I mean XP gain and loss. I am loosing the xp too fast so I never gain rank in the trait
