Description
Updated version of the mod with the same name: gtm.steamproxy.vip/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2749062980 AND of the secondly updated version of the mod, which was outdated: gtm.steamproxy.vip/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3101905160

Dont use both, just this one. Mod edited to work in modern updated ck3 code, but works the same. Note: only major change for now is blocking immortals from participating in the events.

Important you have to command the army yourselves to get most of the events.

Warfare, Reinvigorated.
Better Battles is a mod that adds a variety of new combat-enriching events that will make your character's involvement in commanding their armies more interesting and exciting.

Ranging from battlefield duels to organizing sieges, Better Battles makes the game's strategic gameplay more interesting through some flavourful events and important choices. This mod will only have impact on the game for the player when they are commanding an army in battle or in siege. There is not a guaranteed chance of an event happening every combat or siege, to prevent the mod completely interrupting the flow of your tactical decisions.

the events added by this mod (or rather, op's mod) are repetitive and happen way too frequently. "lucky shot," or, when the game makes you a front-line commander and just randomly throws a wounded bonus at you, is terrible design. the decisions do not work properly. no hate to the guy who updated this, not your fault

Glad someone brought back this mod, but it sucks now.

There are better battle mods out there.

Maybe it's conflicting with one of my many mods, but the orange exclamation says this mod is not up to date and this mod crashes the game when I start up a game. Game works fine when I disable this mod.

im having no problems with the game, i have about 70 mods that all conflict with a dodgy load order, and i only crash if i open the load game menu. this mod is fine

Anybody ever get a conclusive answer on how this works with AGOT? I'm gonna run a Rhaegar campaign probably, so I won't see Dragons for a while, nor dragon dueling. I'd hate to be 100-200 years in to a campaign and then find out it's buggy.

That said I will report back here if that is the case o7

I think for a compatch for AGOT one could code the Dragons to be as fickle as they seem in canon.
