Description
This mod replaces the default HL2 Scanners and Manhacks with ones made by me, for the PRL '81 Pack.
The City Scanner has custom animations.

Some lore if you're interested:
- The BSR (Bezzałogowy System Rozpoznawczy - Unmanned Reconnaissance System), commonly known as City Scanner, is a Polish unmanned recon drone, developed domestically by the Instytut Techniczny Wojsk Lotniczych (Technical Institute of the Air Force) in the late 1960s. Able to operate both autonomously and remote-controlled, it was initially developed to monitor the spread of Xenian flora and fauna throughout the country. Its low cost and utility quickly saw it being pressed into service by various government services, from the Military and Border Troops to Fire Brigades. The drones are prominenty used by the Milicja Obywatelska to patrol the streets and "monitor the peace and order", although many suspect the Security Service uses them for eavesdropping. When the Martial Law was imposed, hundreds of thousands of Scanners were deployed across the country to spy on the citizens and single-out potential dissidents.

- The BSMR (Bezzałogowy System Minersko-Rozpoznawczy - Unmanned Minelayer-Reconnaissance System), commonly known as Shield Scanner, is a Polish unmanned drone, which branched off from the BSR development. Designed for strictly military purposes, it has all the functions of it's civillian cousin, with the addition of light armor and a single retractable manipulator arm. It's main purpose is to provide combat reconnaisance in dangerous environments, provide visual support for the T-55HL and, above all, deploy landmines and other such equipment. Small size and a quiet experimental repulsor thruster allows the BSMR to sneakily lay mines behind enemy positions, or just drop them straight onto their heads.

- The NASP (Narzutowy Autonomiczny System Przeciwpiechotny - Scatterable Autonomous Anti-personnel System) is a Polish light combat drone, designed for flushing out enemies from thight spaces and sweeping Xen-infested canals and drains. Based on the MN-111 scatterable mine[en.m.wikipedia.org], it uses similar methods of deployment by the helicopter-based "Platan" launchers[muzeumratownictwa.pl]. Instead of falling and burrowing into the ground, the NASP activates it blade rotor mid-fall, gently flying towards the target zone and beginning its operations from there. It can also be deployed by foot soldiers or ground-based launchers. Though relatively harmless on its own, the cheap construction and rather dumb programming allows them to be produced in large numbers and deployed en-masse, overwhelming any encountered enemy. Due to it's rather brutal methods of dealing with targets, the NASP earned itself the nickname "Manhack".

!!! BUGS !!!
- For some stupid reason, the City Scanner's hitboxes refused to accept being changed. So if you want to effectively shoot this thing, you have to aim in the general area around the Eye ONLY.

Credit also goes to 3Dvision and Hooded Horse, as well as to Kally, for the detailing on the City Scanner (loudspeakers from WRSR and searchlight from the BRDM mod)

Then I probably just got lucky because I had the Streets background so I was fully expecting the problem to be at the area just before getting the Airboat, so I was surprised to see that the corpses were completely fine despite the background picked on the main menu.

And because of that, I will be including a Staric Backgrounds mod in my new collection from day one. And probably be recommending installing it under every mod's description, just to be safe

The "bad reference count" still persists, had it happen multiple times, even yesterday. And it's always related to what background map gets loaded. And It will persist, unless Valve makes it so that the enabled mods get loaded with the game, and not only when you load a new game.

@Forlorn
The one caveat is that this seems to only affect one single location instead of multiple, oh and maybe I was just lucky when this happened but I didn't get that issue with pre-placed corpses that was common from Winter Citizens, granted Valve DID do a patch not that long ago so maybe, just maybe whatever happened that was causing that issue might have been fixed by them.

I can't with these background maps, man. The workshop update seems to be poorly implemented, so many issues stemming from them.

The only proper solution/fix is to locally install a mod that disables background maps, like my PRL Backgrounds one.

So, this will probably be an annoyance to hear but if you get the main menu screen for the Citadel and you get to the scripted sequence with Dog after the scene at Kleiner's lab, one of the pieces from the APC that falls off from Dog beating the shit out of it will have missing textures on it and it'll claim it's from a cityscanner.
