THIS IS A VERY WORK IN PROGRESS MOD, IT IS NOT COMPLETE!

Say hello to the Repulsor! Once a Shape living in the Spire, it has grained sentience and now wants to free its comrades from the grasp of the Spire using its own core to fuel its attacks.

The main mechanic of the Repulsor is its two sided cards! Most of its cards can be Flipped to unveil new effects and allow new strategies to be explored!

It can also use its core to store power over the course of a few turns and create a big Explosion to deal damage to ALL enemies!

And finally, like its minion counterpart, it very much like Dazes , using the power of Status cards to fuel its maneuvers and fend off the unending waves of monsters the Heart keeps throwing at it!

Notes
This mod is very much not finished, but I wanted to share it to the world.
I started working on this guy around a year ago two years ago, damn that's long. I've been hopping on and off the project because I don't know what I can add to this little sphere of cool.

It's my first character mod, I hope you can pass on the few bugs I may have left in there, I tried to squash them but you never know. Please tell me if you find any in the discussion forums below, I'll be leaving a post for all bug findings.

Also, please tell me if you have any idea you think can go on this character, while respecting the theme of the Shape monsters.


HUGE, and I mean it, HUGE shoutout to Aurin, the creator of the Skul and Quintessencia mods for helping me create this mod, without them it simply would not have been possible. Countless nights I passed listening to him as he teached me how to code in java. Check out their mods, they're all very fun to play and I could not recommend them more.

flip is a cool concept but this characters output is currently too little for even a0.

All the documentation is free to view on the Slay the Spire discord, if you have an idea, go make it! Just take your time and learn things one by one! If I was able to do this, you can too!

I'll push an update regarding the costs of Prepare and Rehash, and change them a little.
As for Exploit Weakness and a few others cards, I aknowledge I just took them straight from vanilla characters, the more I expend on this mod the less cards like this I will want. Tbh they're just here to fill the pool of cards

I'll take a look at the tooltip and change it and revert Static and its other equivalent to a buff, I just wanted to experiment with it but if people like it way more as a buff I'll keep it that way.

I decided to give this mod a quick test run to see what it was like and I will say the character is very interesting in concept. I am well aware this mod is unfinished and would love to see the character in a more refined state as some of the cards feel a bit lackluster and I also feel their could be some more synergies with the flip Keyword. my only 2 other suggestions are to make Explosion a bit better both in effect and clarity of the Keyword description and to make static coded as a buff instead of a debuff.

Interesting mod, I would love to see how you expand on it! I have 3 pieces of feedback:
1. The character needs more mechanics. You probably already know this, but I think its very important as a next step if you want to get more motivated to finish the mod. I want to make a post in suggestions to maybe give some ideas on new mechanics.
2. The common pool has several cards that lack a clear role. For example, Exploit weakness is just clothesline, except what makes clothesline interesting is that its like bash but with more damage and it applies weak. But with no bash-like card to compare to, it feels rather random on this character.
3. The cards Prepare and Rehash are very bad, and thus the flip mechanic kinda just falls flat. I can't help but think they are both supposed to cost 0 instead of 1. Buffing these cards would make the flip mechanic much easier to give feedback on, as is it just seems too hard to get going.
