Ill try to see which door you are talking about. For a second thought you meant floor 6 (as it has a secret room which requires a secret key from all past floors), but after double reading and seeing its floor 7, knew that wasnt what you were talking about.
Orbs are only possible to tank with armour on dungeon floors as theyre too close (on higher difficulty), meaning you would need to speak to the merchant and get one. The warehouse orb is possible to tank without armour but its pure luck.

I think I found a bug in dungeon floor 7, there is a room with a locked door that cannot be opened. An enemy in this room drops a key, but it does not unlock the door like you would expect. The room is located directly west of the entrance staircase.
I never figured out the orb secrets on my first playthrough, as I did not find the secret ladder on floor 0, and could not figure out any way to survive the frag grenades. After getting the dialogue that explains it, I figured out Steve can tank it - if I get lucky - but even with its lore, I am still confused why I cannot activate it with a fireball. The levels are certainly more gruelling without a flashbang .
