IMPORTANT INFORMATION:
This mod was created using a combination of the Swap Face App—featuring faces of various celebrities and athletes—AI art generator and GIMP for detailed corrections and final touch-ups.

Human empires in Stellaris often come across as the most generic and underwhelming option compared to other species. This mod is a simple customization project that adds a wide range of diverse and distinctive human portraits. The goal is to give humanity a stronger visual identity and help human empires stand out — even if just a little bit — to make them feel more unique, immersive, and enjoyable to play.

This mod adds over 550 completely new, high-quality portrait faces to Stellaris, significantly expanding visual diversity while staying true to the game’s aesthetic. Among them is a brand new European phenotype, originally created by Lin Nacume — with heartfelt thanks for their outstanding contribution (see credits below).

COLLABORATION OPPORTUNITY
I’ve got a bunch of ideas for Stellaris – event chains, origins, civics, and other story-driven content that fits into the game’s lore and flavor. I understand the basics of scripting and what the engine can do, but I don’t really have the time (or the coding chops) to make these ideas fully work on my own.
If you’re someone who enjoys the modding/scripting side of Stellaris and would like to team up on a hobby project, I’d love to collaborate. This isn’t commercial – just for fun and for the satisfaction of building something cool. You’d get full credit and a say in the creative direction.

@tilarium - thanks for explanation. I did not modify the trigger nor the name, so it should work as it does in base game.

@alan It's a scripted trigger (common/scripted_triggers/00_scripted_triggers.txt) that is applied at game start. As long as you didn't modify that file or change the name of the human_legacy species_portrait, then the legacy humans should still get the tag. @someonemaybe4 If you're finding your legacy humans aren't getthing the tag, you likely have another mod that is interfering with the trigger by either modifying the file mentioned or renaming the species_portrait.

@someonemaybe4 where is that classified? Cuz I have to admit I have no clue, will have to check. However it should be exactly as it is in vanilla game.

Does this mod classify the legacy human portraits with the "is_human_species" so it gets human flavor or is it still classified as a regular humanoid? Thanks!

Hey @Red Eagle I don't have plans to add Atlanteans to this mod for now.

But to this mod I have distant plans to add I.A.A.T. from Twink.

There are some future plans to use assets from mentioned Atlantean for my Elves mod, which is still in the makings.

Can't promise when any of that will be added, because I burned out a bit lately and took a break from modding.
