This mod adds captains' voicelines + images to their tooltips + small preview window with portrait (when ship or station is selected)

You always can change your captain's look via "Captain change" option on any station. Special characters will not be generated by game, you need to buy them via "Captain change"
Some features can be changed in the settings menu, top right corner

New features
  • Infinite amount of packs can be installed simultaneously
  • 100% save compatibility: existing captains will not lose their portraits if new packs are added or existing ones updated with new images
  • Spawn chance can be assigned to each race, gender and specific portrait. Now pack creators can add "legendary" portraits that will be rare
  • Voicelines like in RTS. The captain will say something when you select a ship or give an order

My captain's voice suddenly changed!
It's not a bug. Currently there are 4/10 female and 3/10 male voices, so several captains use placeholders that copy existing voices. Some update may add a new voice that will replace a placeholder and some of your existing captains will sound differently

No coding or modding experience required. Use my tutorial, for basic version you need only to replace .png files

Compatibility
- tested on Avorion ver. 2.5
- the mod can be installed / uninstalled safely mid-playthrough.
- if you are planning to keep your old save, you need to find new captains or change existing ones via "Change captain" option on station
- the old captains will be using default tooltips
- packs are fully compatible with each other

oh thanks, i pretty new to the game, not just the mods. i usually play mostly all games with mods. didnt knew there was a console. good to know.

You can bind a key in the settings to show the console. It shows red and puprle errors when something is wrong, helps to determine buggy mods

confirmed now it works totally fine it was the mod that added more automatic actions isue. sorryyyyy and thanks for all the help.

i mean this mod works, even if is red i can force enable it (and i had another UI mod). the thing is that captains doesnt count for the game, i have the camptain at my ship, i try to auto mine, it says that there is no captain on the ship.

maybe the captain thing was another mod, becuase the first version of this mod did the same, im trying it right now. i added several mods togeteher, one of the mods adds more automatic actions to the list. sry i should check first, then come here, i just wake up when i send the first message.

Sometimes Avorion randomly crashes when I click on mods tab in main menu, sometimes save without mods crashes

Subscribed to the UI lib mod just now, created fresh save - no crashes. Try to create a new save with just UI lib enabled

tbh i have more mods at my mods list, several ones. may is an incompatibility but i just start playing this game like 5 days ago, i have no idea what could be happening. sry
