Misstall's Vigil Race

Description
Adds the Vigil — a combat-optimized synthetic race engineered by a corporate entity on a distant planet.

While their baseline physical capabilities are comparable to those of organic humans, Vigil units come standard-equipped with advanced neuromuscular control implants, granting them exceptional combat efficiency. Their potential can be progressively enhanced through firmware upgrades.

They also possess an overclocking ability, allowing them to temporarily boost combat performance at the cost of increased fatigue and hunger.

Vigils have only been shipped to the RimWorlds in small numbers and have not established their own faction.
They may join colonies through events such as pod crashes or wanderer joins.
Aside from that, they are commonly found for sale in caravans.

A new type of orbital trader ship has been added, and you can purchase from it. This ship will visit your colony to sell people, even if your population is already high.

==================================================

Apparently I'm getting an error where the game isn't finding textures for the Vigil bodies. I have all the requisite mods for them to work, but it seems like I may have broken them somehow.

@misstall Oh no no, dont get me wrong - there is nothing to be sorry about - i truly love your mod/its aesthetics and how it fits the RW. Its a 9/10 recommendation for a Race mod to pick up. My only suggestion was making Vigil buddies as a "separate" xenotype. Same as Kurins, Mihos, Ratkins etc etc. That makes them excluded from "baseliner"group when it comes to Texture packs that affect "baseliners" if you follow my thought :) Restricting pawns from equipping not compatible armours (or using Transmog to hide it) falls onto the user.
And well - the separate xenotype would also mean that Vigil pawns wont spawn within "baseliner" factions - tho honestly i am not sure if its a pro or con.

Ah, It is then entierly my fault for not reading the description fully :o/
Boxcar Hero 10 Sep @ 10:39am
@Yrol Akiyama

They aren't currently set up as an independent faction, and judging by the mod description, there doesn't seem a plan to make them their own faction. That's just my assumption based off the following:

"Vigils have only been shipped to the RimWorlds in small numbers and have not established their own faction.
They may join colonies through events such as pod crashes or wanderer joins.
Aside from that, they are commonly found for sale in caravans."

This may be a dumb question, or an already answered one...
How i do i add this faction to a running game?
I want them to come as traders and/or guests, like any other faction.
Boxcar Hero 7 Sep @ 9:42pm
@SupremeQuesoDesuPizza I haven't tried specifically with Sanguophages but I know they can accept custom xenotypes like any other baseliner pawn. Doesn't look like it has broke anything so far on my end.
SupremeQuesoDesuPizza 7 Sep @ 12:22pm
Are vigils also able to become sanguophages in addition to their race or does that cause issues?
Boxcar Hero 7 Sep @ 5:40am
If it makes any difference the weapons are just added to the various existing research trees already in the core game. So you could grab them and then just ignore them if you'd rather equip them with something else.
