Kawayama, Japan

Welcome to the fictional Japanese town of Kawayama, located in the prefecture of Iwate in Tohoku. Well, at least, that's where the town is meant to be located. In reality however, the town is actually located in the house a very passionate local hobbyist who's favourite things very much include trains and Japan!

When seeing the news about the compact comp 3 weeks ago, I decided I'd give it a try and this is what I came up with. The actual main area of the map of course takes up the 4x4 area we were all given, but the room has been decorated as well, as was of course allowed in the rules. Originally the scope was bigger for the project - I wanted to include more details than I did in the real layout, and also in the room as well, but I started running out of time and had to compromise. However, I'm still fairly happy with how it has come out. Maybe I'll come back to it in the future and add to it with some of the things I wanted to do, but for now, I am officially declaring this one as finished.

Also, as a side note, I just wanted to mention that while I have decided to keep this layout as mod free as possible, it does use my Japan Station Chime mod for the station (wouldn't feel right not including it as I help it at least helps with the immersion lol), and for train AI, I have used train mods since we of course don't have the appropriate stock in game.
