Description
Watchers are boring. They just float around, be extremely weak and run away as soon as something looks at them with a glare as well as almost always spawning alone despite being the only "support"-type creature in the game.

This mod attempts to change this so they become a miniboss or at least a nuisance that'll follow you probably through entire levels cuz, you know.. it stares.

= Layers. Submarines have layers. Europans have layers... You get it? We both have layers. =
Watchers can now cause immense debuffs to Europan sub crews whenever exposed to THE STARE™ while also still buffing creatures that may come across the staring contest. Why smash them up when the anxiety will get the best of them, right?
The debuffs mainly consist of hindered movement, vision and hearing but can also cause damage to one's wellbeing for the duration of THE STARE™ so make sure to always keep your crewmates healed up otherwise the weak & wounded may get gravely hurt.

= wow that one item has an actual use now against that one thing =
Haloperidol has been given effects similar to Antibiotics but instead it grants great resistance towards Psychosis and Watcher's Gaze for a short duration, make sure to consult with your Doctor for dosage instead of poking needles into yourself on your own!

Watchers have also become invisible to the sonar! You will have to rely on their loud mechanical noises whenever they are nearby or depend on your Security Team to stare through periscopes whenever they are not on an yet another power fantasy.
Seeing a fatass blip on the sonar kinda ruins the fun of being surprised by the effects of THE STARE™.

The longer you fall victim of THE STARE™ the worse your speech becomes! Putting a temporary halt to the ever-wonderful marvels of technology that allows us to speak with crystal-clear audio over long distances as well as using old-school method like actually using our mouths!

I tried my best to make the Watcher a fun, unique creature to encounter both from the effects that it gives and from the difficulty that may arise from a lot of different situations whenever it is around.
Since it appears in Biome 3, you should already be prepared enough for all kinds of situations at that point but if the balance makes it too difficult or frustrating I can try to reduce the difficulty.

but on a serious note, it shouldn't be that common if you play in vanilla, if you use it on barotraumatic then it'll likely be more common, watchers don't exactly spawn that often in vanilla iirc

im also pretty sure i increased the mechanical sound range and/or volume of the watcher so they're not completely invisible

the watcher being invis ins intresting but kinda wierd. why not make it so it appears like ballast flora so i can go *uuuuh why is the flora coming towards us?*
it's not very fun to randomly start puking or someone man the guns 24/7 imo

I consider it bloated. Others may not since its subjective.
Anyway, I already answered a question like yours below; the Watchers will probably still give the debuff but the visuals won't work.
