Open All Containers [B42/41]

Description
Open all containers. When you look inside a container, it will open (you can disable this in ModOptions). Then, with the container selected, you can close or open it by pressing the 'E' key (you can change the key in ModOptions). If you want, you can enable Auto-close in ModOptions. New option to change the Tick Rate.

Mod Options is now available for both build 42 and 41. For it to work on build 41, you need to have the mod 'Mod Options (Build 41)' enabled.

It is safe to add or remove items mid-game. However, if you remove the mod, the opened containers will no longer be visible but will still be there, and you won’t be able to move them.



Future plans:
  • Add new ModOption "not see what's inside until you open it".
  • Add the remaining containers.
  • Add overlays.
  • Add sound when opening and closing containers.
  • Make it compatible with Decoholic.

It would be great to bring an animation for 'searching.' Initially, it could be that animation of the character preparing items to perform an action by moving their little hands.

@Cyrisa - Install the Decoholic mod and you’ll be able to choose whichever 'tabletop' you want, and it will be preserved when opening/closing the container. My mod is compatible with this aspect of the Decoholic mod. For now, what you won’t be able to do is choose the overlay for the inside of the container — I need the mod’s author to make it compatible.

After reading the latest update notes "Decorative 'tabletop' furniture overlays"

I am curious if there is a way to allow the player to select or cycle through the various tabletop overlays for each furniture item? One of the biggest downsides is when I pick up furniture and lose its custom sprite. It would be great if I could select them.

@SJZ-BB-LONG - For me there’s sound both when I open/close the container manually and when it’s done automatically with AutoOpen/AutoClose. For now, only the containers that have sound in vanilla have sound.

@Mazmundie - This mod checks for any highlighted container within a radius of 2 tiles from the player. If none are found, no action is taken. If one is detected, the container will be automatically opened or closed (if the option is enabled), or made interactable via the keybind. Leaving containers open has no impact on performance.

how's this mod do for effecting frames, if i leave everything open will it cause me to lag much?
