Project Zomcom

Description
Adds over 250 silly, 1993-friendly lines (mostly) for zombies to randomly say while they shuffle around.
References include 80s/90s pop culture, TV shows, music, and more.

Special thanks to Whispering Zombies' mod author Bicardine for giving me the idea while using their mod way back on B41.
Hope they get around to porting it soon; it shouldn't be too hard!!!

Sandbox options are included.
More to come soon!

----------DISCLAIMER----------
I do not know if this works with the Week One / Day One mods.
I imagine it doesn't, but I will investigate eventually.
This mod can be added/removed mid-save freely, with the exception of keeping your sandbox settings for this mod saved, so if it doesn't work with them you can add it after their scripting is done.
May or may not affect bandits dialogue, though. It's hard to say without looking under the hood of those mods.

----------UPDATE LOG----------
03/03/2025:
Updated preview & poster.png from placeholders used on mod release.
Removed some lame lines and replaced with funnier ones. This won't be the last time, either.
Added some screenshots.

@Epsilon-11 - yep, it does! Except it makes them say these lines sometimes which can be... odd lolll.

Totally works with week one and day one lmao

a new usage of the mod comes up to the surface 🤣
Viruana  [author] 6 Apr @ 6:40am
@Kurosendo - yep! Same thing as what Racoon asked for. Just edit the existing ones to change what you want, and to add more just follow the same exact format as the rest of the file. You can put anything you want in there!

Can I change the texts for multiplayer co-op? Does the solution you offered for Racoon work for me too?

I LOVE YOU SO MUCH!!!!!! now I can play it with a little bit of guilty
Viruana  [author] 17 Mar @ 9:03am
@Racoon - hahaa yeah, you absolutely can! I am on mobile so I don't have the direct file path in front of me, but if you know how to access the Zomboid workshop mod directory you can find this ones workshop ID: 3437482452

From there go to /42/media/lua/shared/translations and within that is the text file where all of the zombie lines are pulled from. Just keep that format and you can put whatever you want in there.
