Dome Upgrade

Description
Improves the Dome by removing its maintenance cost and changing its Biosphere upgrade to +1 food from +1 energy.

This is meant to bring the Dome up to par with the farm upgrades, which share the Purity affinity, and make a clearer choice and distinction between Domes and Terrascapes.

The food yield represents growing food in a sealed environment that would not be possible without greater costs outside it.

I envision Domes being used to cultivate cloned Earth livestock and agriculture with the Biospheres improvement, on top of enabling recreational activities and a generally more enjoyable lifestyle.

Keep in mind that I am comparing Biosphere Domes to the Vertical Farming improvement that shares the Purity Affinity - which gives +1 food and +1 energy.

Farms can be upgraded further, but the point is that they can surpass Domes in food production

Because of that I do not view Domes as being specialized towards food production with this mod - they are merely more worth building and capable of sustaining a city when built in significant numbers.

Think of them as the maintenance free alternative to Terrascapes for cultural focus.

Domes aren't for food. They're for culture and city defence. Granted, the latter is of extremely limited use since a besieging force can presumably just pillage the dome, healing themselves and removing the city hit points you spent several turns building it for. Also, I realize domes -could- be used for agriculture and/or animal husbandry, but the ones in Beyond Earth don't seem to have been created for that purpose. I suppose for anyone who prefers that they be used for food production, the mod makes sense -but when there are already farms available, a second tile improvement specialized toward food production seems somewhat superfluous.

To be honest I'm not sure how to set that up.

I could message you the code used to make it in Modbuddy if you want, or upload if another knows a way.

Yeah, they can't be applied to existing games.

I think mods only work on new games.

Seems if I install the mod, and load a game, it won't work
But if I install the mod, then start a new gam, then it works

Am I getting this right?
