Operation Flame Serpent V1.1

Description
Counter-Insurgency PvE mission. Hunt down smugglers and illegal mining operations in the Amazon River Delta. Brought yo you by the Skyward Flight Media team.

=======================================

NOTES: This mission was built around the T-55 and AH-94. However, since both of these are paid DLC aircraft, the F-45 was added so players without the DLC can still enjoy this mission.

We are aware the F-45 makes the mission too easy; this is a compromise to provide accessibility to all VTOL VR players.

If you do own the T-55 or AH-49 DLCs, we strongly recommend you fly these aircraft in order to get the best possible experience (and the one this mission was tailored for).

if you were to make something simular, it would be really nice if you added the EF-24, as its unique gameplay style would be fun to play in a CAS heavily orriented mission. (sorry for the broken english)

Thank you all for the comments! This did give me an idea for a future version of this mission, and now that I've tried out the F-16 and AH-6 mods, I can see a place for them in this mission. Your feedback is much appreciated!

You should make a variant of this with the F-16C mod.

That aircraft has extremely similar performance to the T-55, and would probably make this mission a ton of fun as opposed to the F-45 which really just makes it too easy for higher skilled players.

Keep the f45, others can just not use it

As a F45 main I appreciate your mission and hope you continue to bless the skies with the beautiful and powerful F45

I like the small clusters and depots. The mission is far too easy though. I would remove the f45s all together or only give them dumb bombs. There is no fun to be had for the t55 or helo when the f45 is unrestricted. I would say just remove the f45 all together. If people don't have the DLCs, they can get them or find another mission.

The missions even for just the t55 and the helo is too easy. Throw in more AA, IRAPC and the occasional SA or even SAM.

Make infantry clusters larger, this will allow the helo to shine. The helo should have access to closer rearming points. No one likes to fly 20NM to rearm with the helo.

Thank you so much for the feedback! I really appreciate it. And yes, you are correct - the mission was built around the T-55 and AH-94.

However, since both of them are DLC aircraft, I decided to include the F-45s so those who only have the base game can play it as well. Perhaps I've failed to communicate you're encouraged to take the lower performance craft if you have them.

Both comments raise good points though - perhaps I could have two versions of this mission, this one (for those who don't have the DLCs) and one that's closer to the original vision.

Agree here, the mission would be better off as counter-insurgency had the arsenal been more typical for counter insurgent missions. Lighter aircraft like T-55 and AH-94 would enhance the experience.

Interesting mission, but I do have some gripes with it.

Firstly, the choice of having a majority F-45As is strange. With a completely unrestricted arsenal and a full lobby of people the mission can be steamrolled in ~15 minutes with next to no effort required. Having the T-55s becomes basically pointless.

I think it'd be better if the mission leaned in more onto the lighter aircraft like the T-55 and AH-94, foregoing the F-45A entirely. This would overall lead to a more interesting and longer experience than what is present right now.
