Heroic Thralls

Description
This mod adds some new blood: eight unique thralls to hunt down and "make friends with" in the Exiled Lands and Siptah! Each powerful in their own right, most of these heroes are purge tier-level fighter thralls that can be found in the world itself.

To increase the opportunities for finding the new thralls on Siptah, Invader thrall cages have a chance to contain random Heirs to the North thralls and Accursed thrall cages have a chance to contain random Votaries thralls. Also most of the champions can be obtained through higher tier surges on Siptah.

My motivation to make this mod was two-fold. First, it was my dream to seamlessly introduce some of my own heroes into the game world, and second, I wished for a means of acquiring powerful new unique champions outside of farming level 10 purges over and over (try out Valkyrie for that *ahem*). It seemed fitting in the Age of Heroes to push the envelope a bit in terms of thrall power. Check the Stats section to see if you find the new thralls' power reasonable for your preferred game play.

Where to Find Them
  • Shaleigh can be found at Mounds of the Dead (Exiled Lands), at the tavern, or in Heirs of the North thrall cages.

  • Shaleigh the Accursed can be found at Accursed camps (Siptah) or in Invader thrall cages.

  • Anayia the Ashwalker can be found around New Asagarth (Exiled Lands), in the tavern, in Forgotten Tribe/Accursed thrall cages, or in Aesir faction surges (Siptah).

  • Talasia can be found around New Asagarth (Exiled Lands), in the tavern, in Forgotten Tribe/Accursed thrall cages, or in Aesir faction surges (Siptah).

  • Raeth the Ashwalker can be found in the volcano (Exiled Lands), in the tavern, or in Aesir faction surges (Siptah).

  • Calais the Half-Blood can be found around New Asagarth (Exiled Lands), in the tavern, in Forgotten Tribe/Accursed thrall cages, or in Aesir faction surges (Siptah).

  • Sephanna Marren can be found wandering Buccaneer Bay or in Black Hand camps (Exiled Lands), in the tavern, or in Aquilonia faction surges (Siptah).

  • Raithan can be found in the more dangerous districts of Sepermeru (Exiled Lands), in the tavern, or in Treasure Seekers faction surges (Siptah).

  • Alithena the Ashwalker can be found in the volcano (Exiled Lands), in the tavern, or in Treasure Seekers faction surges (Siptah).

In a screenshot, Shaleigh is seen wearing Sexy Silent Legion Armor by Alice (awesome looking armor).

If you uninstall this mod, any thrall followers from the mod will be removed from the game.

Ah yeah, they have a chance to show up at your tavern and sometimes its like that .. they're not interested in hiring on. Funcom teasing us there a bit I guess with how that feature works. I don't do this generally.. but I saw a YouTube video showing how you can knock out tavern guests with a truncheon, and if you are quick to get them to a wheel of pain before they disappear, you can tame them. This was back when the skelos bearers could have like 60K health or more and would visit the tavern. Not sure if its still possible.

So something weird keeps happening in my tavern on Savage Wilds. The Heroic Thralls will show up, but not be interactable, just as seat-fillers. I originally chalked it up as coincidence and similar looks, but Raithan has a pretty distinct look and I'm pretty sure I've seen him twice. Current tally: Raeth, Anaiya, and Shaleigh in the tavern, Shaleigh found multiple times at Cabhan Fell, Sephanna found at Last Words Cavern and Blacksail Guard

Hey @Turkwise, good call out and thanks for the comment! I'll update the "where to find" info on her to indicate in or around the bay at least, as Sephanna has a chance to show up anywhere T4 named Black Hand thralls have a chance to spawn. Buccaneer Bay happened to be a location I encountered her multiple times in testing and relevant to her lore, but this updated description will more accurately indicate she can be found in a broader area. Appreciate it! :steamthumbsup:

Dunno if its intended but ive encountered Sephanna about 10x more frequently as any of the other thralls. She seems to spawn at any black hand camp, not just Buccaneer Bay.

Hah, yeah, you have incredible luck @wyvern350, except for maybe Stygian Slaver iirc :steamhappy: For Savage Wilds, hopefully Raeth, Alithena, or Raithan will drop in soon if they haven't already because at least the others can be found out in the world. I am just not aware of any spawn points yet in Savage Wilds for Votaries faction, or Sepermeru goons/prowlers.

Heya @wyvern350, yeah that is exactly what I'd do, especially if I'm playing on a map where I can't learn the feat required to craft the sexy silent legion in the first place :steamhappy: Congrats if you had Shaleigh available to hire in the tavern. That is possible for all these thralls of course, but def still a rare find.

Fun fact: If you combine this mod with the Black Market Merchant, you can hire Shaleigh in your tavern and buy the sexy silent legion armor for her right there, too. :) Especially useful since it's not replica armor but has actual stats.

Hey @mikethegodwin, again, I have not tested with aoc, but like Valkyrie mod, this mod doesn't replace any data or affect base game assets, so there would not be conflicts. The heroic thralls are added to shared "legendary" thrall encounter tables, so as long as aoc has not changed which encounter tables are used, these thralls should be possible to find in the world too, albeit still a rare spawn. :steamthumbsup:
