Description
This mod focus on fixing and improving the close captions from Half-Life 2 and episodes.

!!! IMPORTANT !!!
Due to workshop limitations, you have to extract the subtitles from in the workshop folder which requires GCFScape[gamebanana.com].
(mod can be found at ..\Steam\steamapps\workshop\content\220\3412925136)

Extract everything and put the subtitles into the custom folder.
(ex: HL2 subs goes to hl2/custom, EP1 subs goes to episodic/custom, etc.)

Change Includes:
    All:
  • Combine Subtitles[gamebanana.com] by male_07, Maestra Fenix & Ozoneraxi
  • All subtitles with "*" or "[ ]" have <sfx> in the beginning

    Half-Life 2:
  • Vortigaunt have their subtitles colored from Episode 2
  • Added Missing subtitles such as "Cheese", "Insurance" and "Take him down".

    Lost Coast:
  • Fixed voicelines inconsistency on Fisherman subtitles

    Episode 1:
  • Fixed voicelines & timing inconsistency on Alyx, Barney & Eli subtitles
  • All of Alyx's subtitles are rearranged in alphabet order

    Episode 2:
  • Added Missing subtitles "Well, now what?" and "That's a nice suit."
  • Rebel's subtitles are rearranged in alphabet order
  • Fixed voicelines & timing inconsistency on Alyx, Eli, Kleiner, Magnusson & Rebel subtitles

Yes, put "h2 subs" into "custom", do not put the contents without a mod folder into "custom"

I'm not sure if I'm doing something wrong. I extracted the subtitles with GCFScape, am I supposed to put the "hl2 subs" folder into the custom folder? The subtitles still don't show up when I do that.

You should try Verifying Integrity of Game Files, or remove everything in the custom folder and reinstall my mod into the folder again

I think im gonna try unistalling everything and retrying, or is that not a good idea?

yeah, i appreciate the help but ive been trying to fix it for a while and I just dont think it works. thanks still, and great mod
