Our crew wakes up in a world that looks.. different.
The world around them is made of blocks, and so are they!

This is my second map!

I read a lot of the feedbacks from my first map and took the time to rework and polish everything from scratch while setting up a new and more organized workflow.

As a result, this map is not a very ambitious project by itself since I wanted to take the time to work on everything from scratch and get a good set of assets/tools/practices in place for the next projects while still releasing a map in a decent amount of time.



This map marks the beginning of my new way of creating maps:

I wrote re-usable scripts to have some shared core mechanics across all of my new maps.

This time, I was also able to import a map directly from Minecraft instead of creating everything from scratch in the tools, which allows me to give life to other people's creations to get better maps and buildings since I'm not very creative when it comes to mapping, nor am I interested much in it.

This map is originally a regular Minecraft map that is not made by us.
We improved it in Minecraft to turn it into a playable zombies map that fits our needs (by creating interiors for most of the buildings among other things).

This is an entire process with several apps (Mineways and Maya), writing Python scripts to fix issues here and there and bypassing certain issues

Other ways to do it exist but I don't know them

@Christian everything was done in Minecraft, we just used WorldEdit and stuff like that
The out of map terrain was already there in the original map

hey im starting to make a minecraft zombies map and I want to learn how to make a similar background terrain can you point me in the right direction?

Zombies get stuck in the Jug house, the house where the lock down is, and when your doing the final step of the EE they get stuck outside of the middle area. Other than that its a good map :steamthumbsup:
