Description
UH-1B Huey Helicopter Mod
A continuation of the Better Helicopter Rework, updated for build 42.
This mod adds the iconic UH-1B Huey helicopter to the game.

⚠️This mod is still in development. You may encounter visual bugs and other issues.⚠️

Features
  • Altitude Control
    Adjust height with:
    • W - Ascend
    • S - Descend

  • Forward/Backward Tilt
    Control forward and backward movement with:
    • Up arrow ↑ - Tilt forward
    • Down arrow ↓ - Tilt backward

  • Vertical Landing and Takeoff
    Land and take off from elevated floors or rooftops.

Helicopter Spawn Points
  • The UH-1B Huey helicopters should spawn at the following locations:
    • Brandenburg airstrip
    • Louisville Airport
    • Military Research Facility

    You do not need to start a new save for the helicopters to spawn. Even if you have already visited these areas in your save file, the helicopters should still appear.

    There is a bug where sometimes a random car spawns instead of a helicopter at one of the spawn points. If this happens, simply check another spawn point.

I'm loving this mod. I got it and started a new game then made a B line to an airport. Used a car to lead the zed away from the heli then raced back and hot wired it. Few days latter I tried to land on the rosewood police station as a comment in here gave me the mistaken impression that it was silent. Well the zed came a running and I ended up with this movie moment where I had to rush to the heli and barely got in a took off before being over run. Learned my lesson there. I now use the heli to get to far away cities but I make save landing zones outside and stash a car to drive in with.

Question: The thunder librarey this mod uses comes with some weapons and ammo. Can this Heli use any of them?

@amp6685 Could be the camera is too zoomed out or you're flying too high, zoom in a bit closer again or fly on lower altitude and it might fix the issue

ive tried flying one, but for some reason after about a minute and then my screen goes black and
i cant do anything is this a problem or just the mods im using

Fantastic mod! Please consider for future updates having the helicopter produce a sound radius that attracts the zombies like in the helicopter event. Thank you for your work!
