Lizardmen: Those Born From The Dragon

Description
Lizardmen are my favourite faction from warhammer, and I love dragons with a passion, but the pointy ears are not my jam, so I decided to take cards in the matter, not very lore friendly I know but I liked the result

Among the murmurs of the Skinks and the silent stares of the Kroxigors, the legend of draconic warriors grew. Their presence was a double-edged sword—an asset of unparalleled strength and a harbinger of the unknown. In the twilight hours, when the battles had waned and the jungle whispered its secrets to the night, one phrase echoed softly, carried on the wind like a lingering echo of forgotten lore: "Those Born From The Dragon."

Azethal

Azethal, the Dragon Kroxigor, is a powerful Legendary Lord for Those Born From The Dragon. He is significantly stronger than most other Lords, making him a formidable presence on the battlefield. Azethal can be recruited from the start of the game, but his powerful abilities come with substantial drawbacks, which can make early-game use challenging. He comes equipped with specialized armor and a weapon that enhance his combat effectiveness. Additionally, Azethal has six custom skills designed to improve his performance and bolster the capabilities of the draconic units in his army.

Dragon Skinks

Dragon Skinks are larger, stronger, and faster than standard Skinks, with balanced offensive and defensive capabilities that surpass even a regular Saurus. They are immune to contact effects, resistant to fire, and can unleash short-range fireball attacks with limited ammunition, delivering significant damage in a single volley.

When paired with Dragon Kroxigors, Dragon Skinks gain additional resistances, while the Kroxigors receive bonuses to melee and accuracy when in close proximity during combat. Dragon Skinks also benefit from Skink and Stalker upgrades, further enhancing their effectiveness on the battlefield.

They can use a shield and a mace for defense or a two-handed axe for armor piercing damage

Dragon Saurus

Dragon Saurus are larger, faster, stronger, and more aggressive than regular Saurus. They possess enhanced fire resistance and can unleash short-range, low-ammo fireball attacks before engaging in combat.

Bordering on monstrous infantry classification, Dragon Saurus have significantly greater mass and the ability to perform splash attacks. They benefit from standard Saurus upgrades, further amplifying their combat prowess.

They can wield dual weapons, having bonuses against infantry or spear and shield for increased damage against vs large and defensive attributes.

Dragon Kroxigors

Dragon Kroxigors are formidable and powerful, embodying pure destruction. With draconic traits like fire resistance and the ability to spit fireballs, they boast greater firepower and range than other draconics, though they have slower reload times.

They possess a unique ability that activates when Dragon Skinks are nearby, enhancing the Skinks' defenses while increasing the Kroxigors' melee effectiveness and accuracy.

Dragon Kroxigors benefit from standard Kroxigor upgrades, further augmenting their strength on the battlefield.

Draptors

Draptor Riders are swift yet heavily armored, capable of inflicting severe damage on flanked enemies with powerful charges. They can also unleash barrages of fire, adding a devastating ranged attack to their arsenal.

Draptor Riders benefit from all Cold One and Horned One upgrades, enhancing their combat effectiveness and resilience on the battlefield.

Drakentaurs

With 2 pairs of legs and 1 pair of arms, Drakentaurs gets a holding to spit fire for larger distances, run at very decent speed and crush enemy lines with ease, they benefit from monster and dino upgrades

Dragonwalkers

Aerial menaces rode by a dragon skink, these smaller dragons have vanguard deploy, they can stop to rain fire from the sky, the skink breaths its own fire on the move. They benefit from Terradon and Ripperdactyl upgrades.

General Info

All units have the Dragon Cold Blood ability, keeping them fresh, regenerating their health and even resurrecting dead units while their morale is high.

All units but skinks have Primordial Hunter ability, granting them increased speed, charge bonus, missile range and accuracy if they fight a routing enemy, this ability cooldown goes down when engaged in melee.

All units have the Dragon Rage ability, increasing their incoming healing, melee and explosive ap damage while they are below 50% hp.

While very strong, most of them come in smaller cohorts, have a higher cost and an even higher upkeep and take very long to recruit. There is also a new building where you can recruit them all but this building also has an upkeep and some downsides. (They are dragons, they like gold, what did you expect?).

Even if they have increased range, if you sent them to attack they won't fire until very close. If they stand still they will fully use their actual range

Know issues

-Azethal plays soccer on campaing map
-Some clipping
-Minor animation issues

Plans

-Make them a faction
-Improve animations and models

With all that said, any feedback, issue or problem just leave a comment, and you know a rate if you liked the mod.

Crazy how this mod went from being a small little thing to one of I think Top 20 lizardmen mods in warhammer 3

Szk themselves said they will eventually add a dread dragon (dread saurian) they just didn't really say when which is a bummer but Will probably be worth the wait in the long run

I really lov this mod, unfortunally the Dragontaurs dont benefit from any red-line buff (nether dino nor monster). I guess they have to be set as a specific unit (like your other units. Maybe Dreadsaurian?).
