About:
I started modding at the start of B42 and this was the first project I wanted to create, it was inspired by Bigorneau's Simple Torch mod and with permission to use their beautiful Torch Models and Textures this mod was born.
I aim to blend my mods to the best of my ability with Vanilla, recipes have appropriate xp gain, correct craft categories, animations with in-hand objects/sounds, balanced material costs/skill requirements, and designed to be a natural extension to Project Zomboid. I plan to evolve this mod alongside B42 to fill the gaps that I feel are missing whilst staying true to the game's themes/lore

B42 Pack Mule

Special Thanks:

Bigorneau
For allowing me to use their amazing Torch assets, show them some love and support as this mod could not exist without them!

Chrystal Chris
For being the first responder in helping me learn how to mod, they helped me fine tune attachment points and body locations and was essential in the early stages of my modding journey!

I love this mod and my only criticism is that the "Sew Sheet" recipe is too cheap.
It leads to creating material out of thin air.
I personally adjusted the recipe to cost 10 rags.

Oh, really? Huh, I didn't know that lol. Your flint starter has been immensely helpful however, so thanks for that.

@OxTailSafu The Magnesium Firestarter was actually already in the game when I made the Flint variant. The reason in it being Flint instead of Magnesium is that Flint is a more common and primitive material to work with. It also fits in thematically with the new Knapping skill which works with Stone and Flint.
As far as I know there isn't a way to obtain raw Magnesium, perhaps in the future this will be possible though :spiffo:

Nice mod. Will be essential for all my playthroughs. Hope to see more good updates.

With the magnesium firestarter now being a thing ingame, do you think it'd be possible to add a recipe to craft it in order to replace the flint firestarter you've made?

@killjoy it is actually in the base game, it's called a Notched Plank and it can be made from a Log, Plank, or Large Branch and a tool such as a Hand-Drill, Screwdriver, or a Knife. When combined with a tree branch it can be used to light a primitive fire, more info can be found on the wiki as well, I hope this helps :spiffo:

@Crzy_Akeer No i think you've got a mod on or something because that definitely isn't in B42

We really need an alternative to light fire. Something like flint + hay (dry grass)

@Cry_Akeer Thank you very much! Your kind words go a long way, and love to hear that you're enjoying them :spiffo:
