I have recently become aware of how much traction my modpack has gained in the few months that it was up on the Workshop. It honestly boggles my mind. This entire project started as "funny haha" texture edits for my own personal use, and would not have grown as it did if not for my autistic desire to add the damn Palace of Culture into the game, which quickly spiraled into, well, a passion project.
Therefore, I want to take this space to say - Thank You. To all the wonderful mod creators who allowed me to use, edit and incorporate their mods, and authors of countless reference pictures which helped in modelling and texturing.
And, of course: YOU - The Players. For giving my mods a shot, commenting, leaving suggestions and likes (and dislikes).
Although, please don't expect future collections (if there will be any) to be of such scope again ;).

!!! IMPORTANT DISCOVERY !!! - So, according to my rather accidental testing, my PRL Menu Backgrounds Mod, fixes much more than just the "bad reference count" error. All thanks to the fact that, when installed locally (.vpk file in hl2/custom) it completey prevents the menu background maps from loading. Therefore, I INSIST on installing it locally to fix those annoying errors. Instructions on how to do it are in it's description. From now on, I will also be including similar mods in all possible future collections.

The above collection contains a selection of replacement mods made by me, themed around The Martial Law Period of the Polish People's Republic (1981 - 1983)[en.m.wikipedia.org]

I also added a few mods which I thought pair well with the Theme of the collection.

Most items in this collection won't make a lick of sense to people from outside Poland, but feel free to enjoy them regardless.

All Credit goes to the authors of the mods that I got the permission to edit (see each mod's description to know which).

!!! MASSIVE NOTICE !!! - I'm writing this in case anyone else has/could have problems with the mods not working, in the future, and also since it seems that is a common result of Valve not properly communicating how the new mod manager works/where it's located. This is most porbably caused by mods overwriting eachother. To prevent/fix that:
1. Open the game.
2. Navigate to the "Extras" Tab. Then select the "Workshop".
3. Click on the "Subscribed" Tab. You should see all the mods that you have downloaded from the workshop.
4. Scroll until you find the mod you have problems with/is not working.
5. Make sure the mod is Enabled. You can check it by looking at the "Enabled" checkbox at the right side of the mod's name bracket.
6. Using the white arrows on the right side of the mod's name bracket, move the mod to the very top of the mod list/above the mod that you suspect was overwriting it. This will ensure that THIS mod overwrites all the other ones, that could've wanted to overwrite it instead.
7. Everything should work properly from now on. You can also use this method for any mods that you don't want to have overwritten.
8. Be aware that workshop mods will ALWAYS overwrite those placed in hl2/custom folder.
