HL1 Weapon Sounds Remix

This mod remixes the gunshots and other weapon sounds by mixing the default tracks with sounds from Half-Life 1. Whenever possible, the original high-quality stock versions of HL1 sound effects were used.

These sounds are a bit louder than vanilla, so CLICK HERE for a quieter version of the mod where each gunshot has had its volume reduced by 2 decibels.

NOTE: Certain sounds from the RPG, Gluon Gun and Tau Cannon were not remixed due to the difficulty of modifying an infinitely looping sound effect. I'd like to get around to those eventually, but not yet.

I never cared for the default weapon sounds in Black Mesa, so I've remixed them with their Half-Life 1 counterparts to give the weapons more "oomph" and pay tribute to the original's wonderful sound design. Enjoy!
