Note that the new ballast system only fills effectively if the sub is straight and level. If you can't manage this because of waves, diving under the surface will help fill the last 10-20% faster.

Also note that if the cargo bay floods substantially, it will eventually drain if you can make to the surface, however it will take a *long* time.

Definitely a lot of work, but a lot of VERY APPRECIATED work. Still wish water would gush through doors like they used to without having to design it to.

Air pressure exists now, although it can behave a bit weirdly. Basically if you wanna fill a space with water, you need to let air evacuate from the top of the tank. If you wanna drain the water, you gotta do the opposite and pump compressed air into the ballast tanks. So the main fixed involved adding an air compressor, air lines, way more pumps, associated logic, and I had to tweak the reactor as well.

Oh my lord my favorite sub is back. I tried to fix it on my own when it first broke but could never figure it out. So what did you change to get it to work again?

I tested it and I'm not really sure how you're managing to get water in, the emergency surface mode keeps you well above the waterline even with a full ballast. I tested with 100% wind around Sawyer and didn't take on any water, but I imagine you might have issues with 100% wind around the arctic and deep ocean.
I would suggest emptying the ballast before starting carrier ops, but aside from that there is not much I can do. You're opening a gaping hole in the ship, no amount of pumps can keep up with that water flow if you let it in.

can you find someway to make it so the hangar bay doesent flood so easily? i cannot do carrier ops even when anchored with emergency blower running because it floods

I'm not sure which plane you are referring to exactly, but I tested the TR-34C and it works fine on High physics as long as the brakes are on and the winches are tight. You also need to drive *carefully*, sharp turns and rapid changes in depth will cause damage.

If you are on Low physics though, the ropes become bungee cords and there's not much I can do to fix that.

If your game can only run on low physics, your only option is to secure planes with electric connectors instead of ropes, which will require you to redesign the carrier and plane just a little bit (it's actually not hard)
