Sentient Bloodletters Voice Pack

Description
This is a very small vocal reskin that makes base troop level Bloodletters have actual words and intelligible (not necessarily intelligent) responses, the unmodded Bloodletter responses are currently angry shouts.

I have supplied my own voice/mixing for this mod.

It is completely loreful for Bloodletters to speak (as well as scream incoherently, I just prefer it when they verbalize their rage since Khorne is the most quotable faction in Warhammer), they have done so in books and even in other Warhammer video games. Heralds of Khorne and Bloodreapers speak, as do the Lesser Daemons of other gods like Plaguebearers and Daemonettes.

One small little caveat of this mod is that Bloodletter responses are NOT unit or command specific, CA originally designed their audio so that Bloodletters/Exalted Bloodletters/Juggernauts/Skullcannons/Blood Shrine of Khorne all shared the same audio, so I had to make their voice lines fit all 5 units whether you are selecting them or commanding them to move.

They did quite fortunately have separate audio paths for attacking, so those 5 units will have specific responses when you command them to attack, but they will be mixed in with generic unit responses.

This mod does not affect Bloodreapers and Heralds of Khorne as they already had actual scripted lines.

As ever, many thanks to Ole, ChaosRobie, Pear, BasedMemes and OhMan[TFE] for all their innovations and foundation building of audio modding.

Credit to Wwise as well, without their program and license this could not be done.

Sure. So for this kind of stuff, I don't extract files, I just replace them. You would download AssetEditor, you would go to the Tools tab, click, go down to Audio (work in progress), and then click on Audio Explorer. From there I would type in campaign_vo and then see a drop down list of all possible campaign_vo sound events (like select, attack etc.), and then do the same for battle_vo, but basically you select one of these events, and you'll see a huge list of faction/unit names for that particular audio event, and you'll find Karl Franz in there, and then you click on his name and it will show you all the associated audio files for that event.

What you need to do is download Wwise, so you can convert .wav to .wem files, .wem is what these games use for audio.

On Youtube there is a complete tutorial for this by OhManTFE that helped me out, it's called Replacing Sound Files in Total War: Warhammer 3 (Modding Guide)
Just follow that and you can't go wrong.

May I ask you a question? I’d like to create a Korean voice pack, and I was wondering if you could let me know how you did it. For example, if I wanted to change Karl Franz’s voice, which file would I need to extract?

Updated to no longer require updates from Audio Mixer. Mod will function without silencing new VO additions after each patch, like Alberic/Throgg's new voices.

@GunKing ah, that makes sense I didn't realize there were only 5 lines... but then again you gotta wonder if people would notice in the heat of battle! Just a fun thought it seemed very Khornite >:)

@UnrealProphet
Wow that is a cool idea! You could TECHNICALLY make it happen, since generic lines and attack lines are divided into different categories, so you could have the vanilla babbling and only replace the attack lines BUT... there's only about 4-5 attack lines I believe, so they would begin recycling their lines extremely fast, faster than they do now.

This is probably a stretch, but is there a way to make Bloodletters continue to babble and only become sentient when they engage in combat?
