Bretonnian Modiverse Compilation Submod

Description
FIRST AND FOREMOST

The people who made all these incredible improvements to Bretonnia, minus the brigand scrap upgrades and the horde cheese building, are not me. I just stitched the mechanics together. If you want to give credit where credit's due for these great things, let them know; the relevant mods are hyperlinked below.

Features

When playing with:
Mods will properly interact. This includes, but is not limited to:
  • Unique scrap upgrades using the Piety resource for brigand and mercenary units for almost every faction (does not affect allied recruitment)
  • Unique scrap upgrades using the Steel resource for Bretonnian two-handed weapon and non-arrow ammunition users for Montfort
  • Unit set compatibility between unique legendary lord buffs and red line buffs for units from other mods
  • Horde buildings will reflect unique mechanics for individual factions
  • Any, all, or none of the supported non-dependency mods can be enabled or disabled before starting a campaign
  • Unique cheese-themed building for horde lords that fills an unexplored design space for Bretonnia that allows for recruitment of the Field Trebuchets (Cow Projectiles), inspired by the Zayli recruitment and infrastructure chain of similar theming
  • Can no longer build Bretonnian religious horde buildings as Revelers of Dolmance; instead, a unique Slaaneshi building chain parallel to the one they can build in settlements has been added
  • All Bretonnian factions have access to five generic lord types (Lord, Prophetess, Damsel of War, Crownless, and Marshal [with the correct landmark]) and six generic hero types (Paladin, Damsel, Friar, Faceless, Hermit Knight, Sergeant-at-Arms), as well as three recruitable horde Legendary Lords (one at start, two from completing missions)
  • At least ten references scattered throughout the written portion of the submod because I cannot be trusted to write text[en.wikipedia.org] like a[en.uesp.net] normal human being[scryfall.com]

I am gonna keep it 💯 with you, just crank that difficulty to VH/VH. These mods were not meant to interact with each other the way they do and are not balanced around each other, so there are inevitably going to be mega-cracked combos that are going to steamroll anything and everything in their path.

Submods

Now with SFO support, courtesy of Jopanis!

Known Issues
  • If you are not playing with Lily's mod to make Repanse a peasant-focused faction, horde buildings used by her faction will still not allow for recruiting mounted knights. She also will only be able to recruit the infantry versions of Holy Order knights. There may be a scripting way around this, but I am not very experienced with that. No longer!
  • Some Piety unit upgrades are not banned for use by Montfort in its parent mod, and Montfort will still generate Piety through buildings, despite not having a use for it in these supported mods. There are other submods that use Piety.
  • All horde lords have access to all horde buildings. I have no idea how to change that, so it is what it is.
  • Not every combination of mods was tested. Some may lead to unexpected crashes.
Thanks to:

  • Da Modding Den, who spent valuable time helping me ascend from monke to data entry monke. I even learned the basics of becoming a code monke this time! 🐒🍌

If you like this:

Seriously, even a basic form of interaction with this upload such as liking or commenting a single random Steam emote you got from crafting a badge can help it gain traction and be seen by more people, and after four months of poring over databases and learning the basics of Lua to write my first nine lines of code in my life, I genuinely want to believe this is not just something I alone am looking for.

Miscellaneous

Rebooting content creation on two separate platforms at the same time is wild.

Bertrand the Brigand, Thieves' Honor is an updated version of Bertrand the Brigand & the Bowmen of Bergerac which is in your description:

It should? Unless they changed the keys I used between the mods, it might, but if I remember correct the Thieves' Honor version makes it where Crownless aren't for all Berts, so YMMV. :insfist:
Blessed Bretonnia came out at some point while I was making this mod and it should be compatible(?) but isn't included in this submod. I think the main issue between all the shipbuilding mechanics added to Berts in the modiverse got resolved at some point though, so we may be in the clear for that. :missing:
Brionne may not be in the base game, I don't remember. Try starting the game as the Fay Enchantress with just Dukes of Bretonnia on and see if she gets a research option. If not, that may be a better request for the Dukes of Bretonnia mod owner. :bzearth:

Hi, sorry, last question. I testing to play Fay Enchantress and I'm wanting to confederate Brionne (with the Dukes of Bretonnia mod) but I'm not seeing the option appear in the research tree, is there a way to add the option?

Oh and also, what would you think of adding "Blessed Bretonnia - Faction Update" mod to the mix? If it's already too many mechanics no worries.

Hi I was just wondering, is the "Bertrand the Brigand, Thieves' Honor" mod compatiple with this one, or is it only for the Bertrand mods listed above?

Thanks for the heads-up! I'll try to fix anything that pops up. :Adult_Neptune:

@standardheadache. I've got all the mods for the compilation. I'm running 281 mods right now. Before 6.3 everything seemed to be working great. I'll keep ya posted if I find any bugs.

I'll keep an eye on it and let you know if I notice anything.

That's certainly not what I expected. They probably don't work correctly as lords either, considering they probably aren't using the right anims and don't have any skills. Are the Damsels of War doing the same thing, and are AI recruiting them? :summer2019trees2:
