Description
A typical looking station wagon, with seats for two in the front and three in the back. Equipped with all-wheel drive capability, allowing it to perform great in off-road or icy conditions compared to most other cars of its kind.

My first civilian vehicle for Rimworld, and the car I drive IRL. Can be given a variety of upgrades including 3 tiers of armor, turrets, a reinforced bumper, and a roof-mounted cargo carrier. Others not listed are simple stat increases. I also have plans to add even more upgrades at a later date.

Weapon Selections:
- Unarmed (default)
Use the Upgrade tab add a weapon

- M249 light machine gun
Caliber: 5.56x45mm NATO
Can be mounted to the front window after upgrading to tier 1 armor, effective as a cheap general purpose weapon. Operated by the passenger in the front seat.

- M134 Minigun
Caliber: 7.62x51mm NATO
Mounted to the top of the vehicle, very lethal against most armored targets through sheer volume of fire. Removes the rear passenger seats in place of the gunner's seat.

Crew:
- 1 Driver
- 4 Passengers*

Stats:
- 12.9 c/s movement speed*
- 320kg cargo capacity*
- 120 fuel capacity*, 22.8 fuel consumption rate

*Changes depending on added upgrades

Combat Extended Compatible?
Hell yeah it is.

Hi from Russia!
This is a cool modification, but could you make another one?
Subaru Impreza GH3(Stinkeye).
If you need i can send you pictures of my car.

@GrahammerTek I see!

I feel that the fuel efficiency should be the same between this one and the F-150, as they're pretty much the same IRL. Unless your model of the F-150 is specifically the hybrid version (maybe that could be an upgrade?)

Personally, I want to see this Forester as more of a same tier, but lighter vehicle compared to the F-150. Maybe it's nimbler or slightly faster off-road (or specifically in forests?), where the F-150 becomes more of a longer-range (due to bigger gas tank), heavier transport/light IFV. Probably not as great in tight off-road conditions due to its enormous size.

Each of your vehicles are unique standalones among the default ones, I feel they should all be a little special. You did all the hard work drawing and writing them in, give us a reason to keep using them!

Yeah I'm pretty late for a rebalancing. It's meant to be at least slightly worse since it's a cheaper and older model of car, but right now it's better to just jump straight to the better vehicles. I'll change it when I get the time.

Why is the fuel consumption rate of this one so much higher than the Ford F-150 and even the L-ATV?

I want to use it, but it just seems worse in almost every way by a lot. Far less cargo, far less fuel efficient, slower, less fuel capacity.

love the implication that the 1998 subaru forester has inexplicably survived at least 3500 years

I always knew Rimworld was missing something, finally the game is playable with a 1998 Subaru Forester

Yes, just waiting for Vehicle Framework to fix a couple bugs with the 1.6 version, which should be in the next update.

Is an update planned on this? I wouldn't want to unsubscribe, but I'd like to switch to 1.6 soon.

Can you make a Subaru Baja variant please?
